Lab Result Trends -- Looking for Advice

Lab Work Follow-up

I wanted to let everyone know how I am doing with my protocol and share with others in case they can learn from my experiences. Here are my lab trends with my latest results from 1/24/2013.

6/29: 100mg Test Cyp 1/Week, no Arimidex, Total T = 332 at trough
7/9: 100mg Test Cyp 1/Week, no Arimidex, Total T = 1068 at peak, E2 = 115, Hematocrit = 48.3
8/1: 50mg Test Cyp 2/Week, no Arimidex, Total T = 650 at midpoint, E2 = 27, Hematocrit = 48.4
8/27: 60mg Test Cyp 2/Week, no Arimidex, Total T = 882 at midpoint, E2 = 97, Hematocrit = 49.2
10/8: 60mg Test Cyp 2/Week, .25mg Arimidex 2/Week, Total T = 830 at midpoint, E2 = 32, Hematocrit = 50.3
1/24: 80mg Test Cyp 2/Week, .50mg Arimidex 2/Week, Total T = 928 at midpoint, E2 = 22, Hematocrit = 49.6

Labs done at Lab Corp. Normal ranges are: TT = 348-1197, E2 = 8-43, Hematocrit = 38-51

I donated blood on November 21. I don't take HCG. I am taking medications to control high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Here are my thoughts:

- I like being at the higher end of the normal range for Total T. I feel better as long as my estrogen is under control. I learned the hard way that having high or low estrogen feels pretty shitty.

- I am probably going to try taking .25mg of Arimidex 3xWeek instead of .50 2xWeek. I didn't have the sensitive test performed so that 22 may be lower than reported.

- I am going to bump up my test cyp dose to 100mg 2xWeek and see how that feels. I am guessing that is going to put my Total T around 1050 at the mid-point between injections.

- I'll keep donating blood.

- My testicles are getting pretty tiny. I don't like it. I am not planning on having any more kids, but I might talk to my doctor about doing something to keep them plumper.

Please let me know if you have any feedback or observations. Thanks!

tell me about donating blood.
I am in the same boat as you with the HCT etc.. (51.7)
how often do they recommend donating? How often do you plan to donate?
Can you train or do anything on the day you donate?
How old are you?

I think you can donate about once every 10 weeks. I have been watching my hematocrit since I last donated and it has been staying in range so I have not had to donate blood that frequently. But it is a good thing to do for society so no harm in donating your blood as much as possible.

You should take it easy after you donate. They recommend not doing overly strenuous exertion that day. You could donate after your workout and then you would be fine. Others have probably donated a lot more blood than I have though and could give you more insight.

I am 41.

I just turned 40. I'm going to have to look into donating blood.
I also didn't know that taking an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) could make you feel miserable.
I felt that my Estradiol was high so I started taking some Nolvadex 20mg/day because I had some from an old stash. Then I went and got a test about 10 days later.
It was dumb, I should have gotten the test 1st. Anyway, test showed estradiol to be 95.5 so I immediately odred some aromasin, today is my 2nd day on it so I dropped the Nolv.
Don't mean to hijack your thread, I'll probably make my own and post my test results. I've seen others do the same and get what seems to be decent advice.
