Late bloomer + TRT help!!!

Hey guys,
I'm 20, been a late bloomer, kind of underdeveloped. Although I'm 5'10.5 175lbs pretty solid, but I have been working out since I was 10, so must people think I'm pretty developed. Anyways a lot of things with my body are underdeveloped as my dad was a late bloomer as well, said he didn't stop growing until 21-22. I went to the doc to get my testosterone checked, it was at 108, normal for my age is like 600-900. Hes sending me to endocrinologist, and it looks like I will undergo some testosterone injections for a while to help my body grow. My question is, do you think its too late seeing that I'm 20 and my body might have just only been able to grow as much as it could with what I had at the time. I didn't start puberty until like 16. Do you think Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) is a good idea, or should I just listen to endo? Also I've been taking DAA (D-Aspartic Acid) in the meantime,(Gaspari's Viridex Xt) is this a bad idea, and should I stop?

Unless you have a medical issue causing your Testosterone to be low your body won't increase production magically. Your best bet is to be educated before you go to your endo. If you have lab results post them up here, there are a ton of guys more educated than me that have helped me enormously.

Things you'll find out by researching on your own that your Endo probably won't know. . . gels suck, shots shouldn't be more than 5 days apart, why you need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and HCG, low end of "normal" isn't normal, most Endos are hacks and will fight you on proper treatment. Good luck

get me your info, chief. Even though you are quite young, a 108 test level justifies therapy. I can run it by our doc's and let them make the final call. At 108, you are practically dead. Severely hypogonadal.

At this point your main concern shouldn't be whether or not you'll grow any more it should be whether or not you're going to have a decent quality of life. Low test can certainly affect your overall well-being and basically deprive you of the life you should be living. You are on the right track with gathering as much information as you can get. Like Chip said, get your information to him and let him run it by the doctors and see what they say. You certainly seem like a candidate for treatment and if there is a way to help you, Chip will find it. Good luck.

I'm going to just post the things that were flagged on the blood test.
Glucose, Serum 101 mg/dl (high)
AST(SGOT) 47 IU/L High
ALT (SGPT) 65 IU/l High
Hdl Cholesterol 23 mg/dl low
Testosterone 108 ng/dl low
TSH 1.020 uIU/mL
T4 4.4 ug/dl low
t3 uptake 49 % high
My balls and penis are underdevloped, my feet are only size 7, I have barely any hair, a little on chin and under nose. 1/2 Of my legs have brown hair the other half is either blone or hairless. My hands are small, and my memory sucks shit and I'm depressed, weak erections 1/2 of the time, little sperm when ejaculating.

HRT is for life. "Expensive" is all relative to the size of your bank account.

So is that a yes for life? I think he said he was going to give me test to try to get my body to start making more of its own, like it was only going to be for a couple of months, then again that wasn't the endo, just the doctor.

If you truly need testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), it's for life. Giving you Test isn't going to get your body to start making more. It will actually stop your body from producing it. That's where Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) comes in.

Kinda sorta - thinking back to when I was making $400/month, not sure even then I would have considered a few hundy every 3-4 months that expensive considering the crap I'd be going through w/out it. I'd rather have the energy and will to ride a bike to pick up the latest piece of ass I scored than make a car payment to haul my grumpy, pissed off, lonely ass around.

Maximus has low prices and imo is worth giving a true testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) protocol a try to feel the benefits.

It can be both expensive and worth it ;)

"Expensive" is in relation to someone's bank balance. "Worth it" is in relation to symptoms. In the OP's case, jumping on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) would be a very bad idea IMHO.

Well I'm not just going to jump onto testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), I'm going to have the endo examine me and see what he thinks, perhaps get another endos opinion, before doing anything, also asking on these boards. It's obviously worth it, I'd pay all I have right now to get my test up, depression and lack of libido sucks.

Why are your liver functions so high? Do you drink a lot or have you run a oral steroid recently? Especially If you don't drink and are not on liver harsh meds of some kind I'd be worried about those levels.

For alt the upper range is 56 so I'd say your 65 is something to get checked out ASAP.

Your t4 is also low, did he talk about starting you on a thyroid med?

zactly my point! I wasn't aiming to play semantics with nordic nor tell someone something an expert should (Chip and his docs are experts). there are certain things we NEED in order to have a good quality of life - proper hormone balance is critical as I've learned so the intent of my message.

... sounds like you are doing the right thing talking to your endo (personally I'd also still talk to Chip along with my doc).

I probably should have states that I took a pro hormone at 17 unknowingly when they were selling them at the nutrition stores. spawn, tren+epistane. I did run clomid after but my nuts have never grown since, although they are the same size they were at 17. Now that I look back I have been deoressed for the last 3 years as well. I will ask the endo to test my HgH levels, because I really don't want to have to do testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for the rest of my life. I'll post an update in a week when I see him.
