looking for cardio advice

i need some help, im about 6'1 and 250 and i need to get into better shape for some physical fitness tests that are very important for my career. im looking to get more lean and get better cardio. i was told 3j could halp. if you got some advice i would definatley love to hear it. i need to the diet tips and everything.:40oz:

As for cardio - get creative. Seriously. You're gonna have to enjoy what you're doing. I personally like swimming early morning right as the sun is rising. Here in Arizona it's so awesome that I don't need any extra motivation to go do it.

If you live in an apartment complex, you can do stairs. Run up and walk down. Set a small goal like going up 5 times and start timing yourself. Try and do it a little faster every time.
 
I went from 230 to 186, hit 3j up for your diet, run for 30 min on an olliptical, every 10 min or five min sprint on it for 1 or 2 min. getting your hart rate up with a sprint then jogging it out and repeting will do wonders for your cardio and endurece. at 250 you will have a rough time on a treadmill, so olliptical would help alot.
 
you could do all the cardio in the world and eat like a dirty pig and get no where..

but to answer your question... cardio is done best in 3 ways from my experiences...

1. early morning, before you eat.. at low intenisty (at about 130bpm) for an extended period of time (30-45 min)
2. right after your workout.. same deal... dont take ur intensity up too high... ull be burning muscle
3. this is my personal fav... FIND A SPORT.. mine was boxing and jiu-jitsu.. u dont think of it as cardio, cuz ur having fun doing it.. number 1 and 2 are BORING to most people.. though they are also very effective...

get ur diet together.. check out my sticky.. at the least read through post 1

4. Get you a hottie and start fucking. Or get you a fattie and reach the goal together (a fat hottie preferably).

Like 3J said, diet is the key here, as is the case with reaching most physical goals. Without solid nutrition you will go nowhere.
