Low test but high sex drive?

Ive just been referred to an endo with low test, my results were SHBG high and test 8.1nmol (2.34ng/ml) (234ng/dl)

Ive not cycled for 4 years and my test results have been declining for the past couple of years, Im 35 years old and cycled for around 4 years, My pct was pretty shit if I'm honest. Im always tired, I need more sleep than my missus or kids do and I'm still always goosed, brain fog, mind constantly wondering, Im pretty nervous but seems to have a decent sex drive??

The night prior to my blood test I trained Jiu Jitsu, Surely the Jiu Jitsu couldn't cause my test to be so low the following morning???

I dont really want to be on trt for the rest of my life but if it means a better standard of life then I suppose I dont have choice????

Run labs again to confirm the results. Get rest the day before and a good night's sleep. Go first thing in the morning. Check LH, FSH, Estradiol, Prolactin, Vitamin D and TSH too.

Have you been checked for Sleep Apnea? It can cause the same symptoms and lower your T.

How is your diet?

Thanks for your reply.

Ive not been checked for sleep apnea before, I work away on a boat and have a young child so sleep isn't the best most nights.

Diet at the moment isn't the best, On training days I eat green juices (Juices full of organic, kale, apples, lime, broccoli, avocado etc) porridge, chicken, scrambled eggs with grass fed butter and cream, I try to keep myself feeling light and mobile for Jiu Jitsu sparring and drilling. On the days I dont train I end up eating chocolate, biscuits, burgers, chips etc.

I supplement with vit D, B12, zinc, magnesium. Recently Ive been trying to add in some heavy lifts once or twice a week, Deads, bench press, shoulder press, DB rows, I also do intervals on the treadmill, 20 mins with 1 min sprint 1 min rest.most training is interval or rounds so didn't think it would hit test that bad?

Get that diet on point, or at least get rid of the breads and chips. The older you get, the more important that becomes (not only for appearance, but wellbeing/feeling good.)

What were your estrogen levels on that last test?

Did you have any bloods run after your last PCT years ago?

Do people tell you that you snore? That isn't a 100% accurate indicator of sleep apnea but it is a clue. Regardless, sleep is very important to your health. Make sure you are sleeping sufficiently and that it is good sleep.

How about fixing your diet? Drop the cheat meals for a while and see if it helps.Try for a month or two.
