Low testosteron with one testicle

Hi
I am 30 years old and I was born with one testicle, my blood work is:
Lh: 2.77 mIU\ml
FSH: 5.05 mLU\ml
Prolactin: 9.62
Testosterone: 13 nmol\L
E2: 8 pg\ml
I have seen a doctor and told me that the only thing you can do is to go for trt.
Do you think I have more options, is there anything I can do?
and if I start TRT, can I stop after 3 or 4 months?
thank you guys

P.S: I have never taken any medication regarding this issue, or any other hormonal issues

A Dr may try to boost your natural testosterone production with clomid, but I cant say if that is the correct direction for you to go.

your test level converts to about 380 ng/dl, a more commonly used measurement for us in the US.
If you feel fine at this level than keep at it natty, but if you feel any symptoms of low T I would say look into TRT.

"TRT is meant to be for life. You go on TRT because you are hypogonadal. Taking testosterone for a short period of time will not fix that. Once you stop TRT you will slowly return to your previous TT levels or even lower."

why start trt at your age? why not earlier in life because of your condition. give us your full stats please, what symptoms etc. do you have?

I didn't think about it earlier because I didn't notice any symptoms before, I didn't think about low T even with one testicle until last year when I started feeling tired all the time and getting overweight even when I am working out. I have Gyno form Puberty, but now it's getting worse.
The doctor said that my remaining testicle is very good in manners of shape and size. and should give enough testosterone, but it is not.

Also I have Gyno, and getting worse with time.

With an estradiol of 8pg/ml? You SURE it's gyno? Yes, I'd wager that TRT for life is your best course of action. If you were born with one testicle, how was puberty?

I have a friend that had one testicle, and he was put on TRT at the age of 13 because he wasn't entering puberty at all, so I'm a little surprised that you would wait so long.

There is no shame in TRT; it's the exact same thing as taking insulin because you're a diabetic. ;)

My .02c :)

anyone else smell fish here?

Sorry brother, fish oil burps. :spin:

is it good for Gyno????

Gyno with estradiol that low is unlikely.

One testicle can produce sufficient testosterone. Having only one testicle doesn't automatically mean you have to go in TRT.

Are you or have you taken any other medications for health issues? Do you have any other medical conditions?

What time of the day was your blood work drawn?

What is your height and weight? What does your diet look like?

Do you have full blood work results that you can show us including thyroid?

I have never taken any medication aside from pain killers and antibiotics, and I don't have any other medical issues.

The blood work was drown at 8:00 am

I am 5.7 feet tall, and 187 pounds

aside from the blood work I have mentioned above, no I don't have any, I would do now if necessary.

Mediterranean diet with balanced protein and carbs amounts and low sugar intake (cafe and tea with no sugar at all).

I had pretty normal puberty, devolved all male characteristics like other boys. except for that Gyno that I am still carrying around, if you have suggestions that I can try to get rid of it, pleeeeeease I am all ears.

I never considered TRT because of it's bad reputation and side effects. but now I feel the symptoms are getting stronger.

Sounds like a story similar to mine. Life is so much better after getting on, then again I NEEEDED it. Some people with 1 testicle still produce ample amounts of T. But from my own experience it has changed my life

Oh, and welcome to the uniballer club

If you have pubertal gynecomastia, surgery is the only way to be done with it as far as I know. If it's recent, raloxifene is the best course, but I can't see that happening with your estradiol.

Time to talk to a QUALIFIED doctor after giving the TRT sticky a good read imo. :)

Thank you HiLifee
Can I talk to you to hear your story?

You have two basic choices. 1) Try an HPTA restart. Probably won't work though long-term but not much downside in trying it first. This would involve running hCG followed by SERMs. 2) Begin TRT. There are various forms of TRT. Most popular and effective is testosterone injections. But some use AI-Monotherapy, hCG, or Clomid. Gels/Creams/Pellets are options as well but they all have drawbacks.

How many grams of fat are you getting in your diet on an average day? Do you track your diet macros?

I would recommend having your lipids, TSH and Vitamin D checked.
