Macronutrient Ratio

hey every one im trying to get my macro ratio down and need some help!
so far every where I read im told the best way to cut up is by doing a 30-55-15. is it smart to do 20-65-15 to spare muscle?

my goal is to get to 165lbs within thee months.
right now im 180lbs 5ft 7in. with around 22%bf.

any input would help thxs guys!
 
Who told you this? I don't see why you would want to cut down to 165, but to each their own. By 30-55-15 do you mean 30 cars, 55 protein, 15 fat? If you are eating that little you are never gonna lose weight...
 
bmr = 1909
tdee = 2958

now thinking 1800 cals just might be way too low..
3J ive seen ur advice given through out these fourms, what would you suggest?
 
It would be hard to give an accurate response.
Need stats as jamyjamjr asked above to start with.
Your fat intake can't be calculated correctly until
we know if your throwing any "fuel" on this fire.

training wise ive been working out for a soild 2yrs. I started at 200lbs( yeah I was a fat kid) then got down to 150 now that im in college ive packed 30lbs.

im 21
weight: 180
hieght: 5'7''
bf: 22%
all natural.
 
40/30/30 is what i would do.... keep your carbs morning, pre and post workout for the most part..
 
agreed. You need the fat intake to keep your
natural T level's up. Keep your carbs clean and early.
