Most ZMA products contain (on average):

400mg magnesium
30mg zinc
10.5mg B-6

I've decided to make my own because even though ZMA is only ~$14 buck month, making my own stack for $14 lasts me 3 times as long.

It is impossible to find vitamins with the right ratios so is it ok to take in a little extra?

Here is my stack:

500mg magnesium
50mg zinc
50mg B-6

(All of these vitamins are in 3 seperate pills)

I'm concerned about the amount of B-6. I was taking in a super comlex vitamin B but it only contained 5mg of B-6. Will 50mg of B-6 fight for absorption with the zinc?

I don't think it will make a difference, its going to serve other purposes in your body.

I just started the samething but im going with a liquid mag and a 100mg of b6.

Also what kind of zinc are you using?

They say part of the reason ZMA is so effective is that its in those certain amounts. Hell we all take multi-vitamins that have all those ingredients in it...

I pay $13.00 for 90 pills of ZMA. How much cheaper are you making it? BIG fan of ZMA by the way . . .

Seems it gives me a headache(few times) waking up the next day whenever I use it. Which one do you use?

From my understanding its the higher dose... not the exact amount.
