i would go with the smith machine if your shoulder is bothering you

I would stay away from the smith machine if I was having shoulder problems.
what day are you training your shoulders josh?

as some of the other guys said, maybe just stick to thrashing them with benchpress then just do some lat/rear raises etc ,for a while at least anyway

when i used to train shoulders on their own day it was usually fridays, but w/the routine i'm on now, its usually Tuesdays. However, I kinda irritated my right shoulder so am prob. gonna take tues. off for 2 more wks OR just do really really light pressing on tues. for the next 2 wks. Our gym doesn't even have a smith machine, so I won't be using that either way.

try training shoulders three times a weeks but focus on each delt a time.just use heavy DB movements without pressing.Try different cable pulls which you feel strain on the delt that you are working.Be creative, it is always a try and test for every new programme.
