Me staying 'on' forever - your thoughts!

I have been debating with myself for awhile on whether or not I should stay 'on' year-round. I want to hear your thoughts on the subject.

Here are my stats and goals if you already do not know...

26 years old
5'9.5"
235lbs
Training consistantly for about 7 years.
Have used Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS) for almost 3 years.
I am a competitive bodybuilder and my goal is to be a big national contender. Hopefully good enough to make a little money from this as well.

What I am thinking of doing is my regular 12-16 week cycles, then instead of coming 'off', taking like 250mg /week for a few months, then do another cycle, etc.

What are the pros/cons of doing this. Is there a better way of doing this?

I feel I have exeeded my natural state by ALOT, and everytime I come off I end up losing a lot of size. Everyone notices, so I know it is not in my head.
I am thinking this will help in that.....am I wrong in thinking this way??

Thanks in advance!!

Well if you really want to make money at it, then you don't have much of a choice.

You will probably have to do alot of other stuff besides that if you want to be a contender. Another buddy I know who is a pro spends 10K a month on this stuff, well not him personally as he has a sponsor now. One thing I can tell you is when you are jacked up to the max it will age you like you never thought possible.

thats the approach that I've been using for a while, and its worked decently well for me. But you need to make sure you use hcg all the way through, and get regular blood tests.
After a year "on", I just came off for 4 weeks to run clomid just in case, and have maintained my weight

My honest opinion and I mean no offense: I think that giving up your health for a little money is not the best decision and even if you do stay on all year, there will always be somebody bigger than you. Bodybuilding or powerlifting is a great hobby, especially if you love it. But don't let it ruin you.

And again, I mean no offense. Like needsize for example seems like a great guy. He knows that most people think he is crazy for doing all of the gear he does; he says so all the time. That certainly doesn't mean I look down on him.

the thing is, I think the health risks are greatly exaggerated. I'm not saying there arent any, but with all the shit I've run, and the crazy doses I've hit, my blood tests and ecg for my heart all came back fine. I know the longer I do this, th higher the risks get, but at this point I havent wrecked anything, so I'm going to continue with this approach. That being said, I do feel better knowing that I did clean out for 4 weeks, many would say that amount of time isnt shit, but I am sure its helped my body get back to some semblance or normality, for a little bit. the body will heal any damage you do to it, very quickly, if given the chance

Now having said all that, I am sure not advocating this approach to anyone, just discussing my experiences with it. I want to take the competing thing as high as I can, but I am also competing against guys with far superior genetics for gaining muscle, so to compete I need to take some larger risks than the gifted

needsize you don't give yourself enough credit. You aren't just compensating with gear. I'll bet you train a lot harder and smarter than those guys, too.

I know 2 guys that stay on indefinitely, and they seem fine.
I myself would never do it.

big mike most top plers stay on year round, me included. i cycle up and down but rarely come off. if there is a prob i do come off long enough to cporrect it.

if you have a passion for something then go for it. id rather be one of the ones who said he did something than one who sits on the couch and watches folks like us compete.

need size gave solid advice. be smart with it. train with and around people headed in the direction you wanna go and tell the jealous wanna-be-nay-sayers to shut the fuck up and leave you alone. =0l

thanks, that is true, but the genetics thing pisses me off. There is a guy I know in town here, he cant afford to do more than 400mg of test right now, and his workouts dont seem that intense to me, but he has the same stats as me, and I dont know if I could beat him on stage. If he put in what I do and used the doses I do, I wouldnt stand a chance

if you wanna be a national contender you better be hitting gh & slin ....

If you come off you need to be running the GH to hold your muscle. My friend that is a national level BB does this, he does not mess with the slin though.

Staying on all year round if you are not a pro or seeking to be...is unsafe...an ridiculous period. [ staying on all year round regardless is idiotic]. A lot of the mods on here especially Stone give their 2 cents on post cycle therapy (pct) about how you should always do it, etc. then give your body time to recover...then mods come out and say that stay on alll year round...legitimize it and say, " Health risks are exaggerated" ...but then they don't recommend the " always on" philosophy to anyone else... :bsflag:

I appreciate everyones comments and advice.

I will give it some more thought and make my decision.
I realize that to become a national contendor I will also need to do GH, etc.
I will see where the 'on' year gets me, and go from there. I personally cannot afford GH at the present time. However, I am going to be saving up for it, and do plan on running some in the next 2 years.

The reason I did not say I aspire to be a pro is beacause I realize that that is a goal that is 99.9% out of my reach. But becoming a top national is a little more attainable.

Thanks again.

P.S. -NEEDSIZE - How do you cycle you Hcg??

And how is it that you know this? Its called GET YOUR BLOOD WORK DONE.

I stay on relatively long these days and come off for 6-8 weeks at a time whenever I feel like it. I get my blood work done, do you? In fact I even posted some not so pleasant liver results when I was 25% over normal for AST and ALT. So I dont lie to myself and I dont lie to you, if you dont get your blood work done you are just guessing. If you do, then you have the numbers in front of you to tell you if you are healthy or not.

In this case, I'd rather listen to those who have been there and done that, than someone sitting at their Lazy Boy chair telling us how the people who compete are going to drop dead any day now.

Try looking up Albert Beckles sometime, and try and tell me that boy is all natural at 75 years of age. Hell no.

You look like a brick wall Mike, good luck.
