Morning Cardio/Evening Weights is it over training?

I wanted to get your view point on this subject. If I do cardio in the A.M. (empty stomach) and do weights in the evening is it over training?
I probably won't go extreme...maybe do weights 3 times per week on morning cardio days and do cardio the remaining days of the week.
I'm thinking this will help with some conditioning and increase some weight loss.
I notice a release of endorphins from the morning cardio.
What do you all think?

Too vague.

I do cardio whenever I have time; it's walking for god sacks, unless you guys are running at Ben Johnson speed.

I usually just do 20mins at 3.5mph.

Not sure if serious?...you gotta know your body. There is a diff between a burnt out cns and an unrecovered muscle too. Apollon will always feel overtrained since his hpta is shutdown..

imo overtraining is a term that is extremely overused. I am a firm believer that overtraining only occurs when one is under eating and not getting enough sleep

yeah overtraining is more often than not an excuse for underachieving. if you never push your body and work through that pain you won't train your body to deal with it and you'll give in and find that excuse to stop. i see lots of guys who seem dedicated never trying to push they ability to train harder or more frequently. to me that is another form of dedication.

OP you will not overtrain with cardio in the am and workouts 3 days a week.

I do fasted cardio the days i dont work (3x weekly) and lift in the afternoon. usually do like 30-40 mins of stair master. its far from over training. i go again and do evening cardio sometimes too. this works fine for bulking and cutting. difference is my diet.

Don't be so sure....
Power wears out those who don't have it.

No way is that over training. If you were over training, you would know it. It sounds like you're happy with the effects of a decent cardio regiment. Good on you.

I have a similar regiment as you, except I don't do anything ever on an empty stomach. Say what you will, I think it's pretty fucking silly. But whatever - I know what works for me, not you or anyone else. I also work out 2-3x a day. Usually twice. I do cardio and weights in the AMs and BJJ at night, and if I don't have jiu jitsu, I'll do more cardio. Feels good, man.

I work at a gym and some lady came up to me and said, "you look like you know what you're doing, tell me what I should do..."

she basically said she was working out 5 hours a day (WHO HAS TIME FOR THIS!?) and was feeling really tired and lethargic and everything hurt, but should she go to the body pump class anyway? Overtraining, and you could probably safely assume she wasn't eating very much.
