i try everything they don`t grow. i even tried doing super sets. can`t anyone give me any help on workouts i can do for my calves.

Here is the best calf workout--on the calf raise machine lift as heavy as you normally can do for ten reps but do two sets of 20 reps on each rep when raised hold that position for 10 seconds --your calves will be on fire. Unfortunately, some people have the type of genetics where their calf muscles are very small--overcoming this may be very difficult if not impossible.

I use a 45 degree leg press for calf raises and load up as much weight as will fit. That blasts the shit out of my calves, make sure you get a good ROM, with a good stretch at the bottom.

I just started this (previously I used a V-squat machine) and my calves are blowing up.

BTW, make sure you stretch good between sets and when you are done. That is, if you like walking :D

Pick two exercises and apply german volume training to them.
Thats 10 sets of 10 reps with 30 Secs rest in between. This will destroy your calves. Give it a shot.

I received a wonderful gift from my father, genetically small and thin calves. Now, I won't claim that they are huge now, but I have made noticeable improvement in my mind. Plus I've doubled the weight that I used to do. This is how I did it. HST training !!!!!!! You can do a search for it on the net and read up on it if you want. If you don't want to go full bore into this type of training you could consider just training your calves 3 times a week but drop the volume to just 3 sets per workout. I find that the lower volume, yet more frequent workouts make the difference.

I can personally recommend HST training. I have done it for about a year now and seen great gains. The articles section of the page and the FAQ section of the forum are chock full of good scientific information on everything from training to supplements to diet. Even if you choose not to do this type of training, there is a wealth of information there.

haha, ya, jk. i wasn't really happy with my calves, so what i do is work them out every other day. every now and then i'll rest for two days. works great.

Just make sure you do quality reps. Dont just pile on a shitload of weight. I warm them up and use enough weight to get 12-15 reps but my idea of a rep is all the way down, good stretch, all the way up with a slight hold. Its hard to explain, but try to keep focus on the inner balls of your feet when going up. Then when youre near the top, switch it over to the outer balls. Works for me.

Try doing heavy toe raises on the leg press and really squeeze the calves at the top of the movement.Go for 20 reps and star with 2 plates each side then add a plate each side every set for about 4-5 sets.
