i can build everything else just fine delts, tris, bis, back, shoulders, lats u name it... but my chest is behind in general. my outer chest isnt near as bad but i just cant seem to do anything to concentrate from the center of my chest in. is thier anyone that might have any good ideas or personal experience that might help. thanks alot fellas.

This is definatly a stretch, but what is your bodyfat? Many people think thier chest is lagging when in fact, its just too covered by bodyfat to see the lines and true shape. In my experience it looks as though my chest actually grows a lot when I start cutting down.

The fiber goes from one side of the chest to the other, you can't favor a portion of the fiber, thats genetics. Make your chest bigger.

Mine does the same thing, although I do have slow chest development. It does lag behind, but the BF thing holds true. Seeing muscle shape will make you appear bigger.

I agree with Midge, just pack on size to the chest. That's one of my goals for this year, among other things!!

4 sets of flat bench, 2 sets of inclines, leaves me sore for days.

Mudge , when you do chest do you go as heavy as possible? And how many reps?\

Depends how I feel, but generally I am anywhere from 5-9 reps right now. Once in awhile I may increase flat bench volume by one set and throw in a heavy single that is 90-95% 1RM, or maybe a heavy tripple.

Not everyone has the chest genetics of a Needsize or a Lee Haney, thems the breaks.

More mass is what you need. And as they said, you cant train inner or outer pec.. only upper and lower.

RJH: Bro those pics are GOOD! :)

i agree, if you're genetics tend for you to develop like that you'll always have a lack in size there, even when you do pack on more size. But, at least then it won't be as profound

I had somewhat of the same problem, And i found that flat db flys before my bench really helped. My bench was not as heavy do to the pre-exhaust, but it worked for me.

I've always attributed my chest to my routine, the core routine has been the same for year
flat bench
incline dumbell press
incline flyes
