Nebido my TRT- your take on it?

Hey guys

Doc told me that my blood work came back allright! He said that my testosteron was within range and around low/middle... This simply does not make any sense since my blood work prior to this was: 1month back

Testosteron, Total, Serum ( 240 - 827 ) = 260
Testosteron, Free, Serum ( 8.70 - 55 ) = 10.41 / 15days later another test showed 9.60

Estradiol, E2, Serum ( below 40 ) = 40.62
FSH ( 1.50 - 18 ) = 18.60
LH (1.50 - 9.30 ) = 9

T3, total ( 0.60 - 1.80 ) = 1.70
T4, total ( 5 - 12 ) = 9.70
TSH ( 0.55 - 5 ) = 3.14

Basicly I explained the doctor my symptoms:
1. Massivly tired
2. Fatigued
3. None existent focus/concentration
4. No libido
5. Beard started to fall out in spots, and hair has stunted growth
6. I feel like shit, crap, and not good at all!!!

He understood and said that he would rather takecare of my symptoms then my numbers! He prescribed me on Nebido 1000mg E6W and said he wanted to check my blood levels on that: He did mention that my RBC was normal/high and that it could creep up along the way...

My question now is: I dont get the idea behind Nebido? They sky rocket my testosteron level with a 680mg active shot and then slowly let it drop over the course of 6-10 weeks before reskyrocketing it... Dosent the massive shot create a too high testosteron peak wich in that case would ripple with the hematrocrit and RBC?

What your take on Nebido? The protocol? The ester, halflife? I defently am starting tomorrow so any thoughts guys?

Can you post up the new blood work results?

Nebido is a great medication. Long lasting ester to ensure a slow release which means fewer injections. Read BigBen's log on it

A little offtopic, but megatron, if im on nebido, i still have to take hcg twice weekly, right? just asking, cause thats still a lot of injecting..

Thats not really alot of injecting. You have Nebido access... A dream of ours in the US! Nebido acts much different that cypionate. A large injection doesn't spike T, it's a slower release so you feel the goodness for weeks. Like Megatron said, find the large thread by Big Ben. He moved to it and loves it.

Lots of guys don't use hCG on TRT. I didn't in the beginning. I use hCG now and I prefer it though.

Keep in mind that hCG can be injected subq. It really isn't a big deal. But if that ia too much injecting for you perhaps a switch to less effective and more expensive creams/gels is a better option. Then you would have one less thing to inject.

You can ask your US doctor for Aveed. It is the same stuff. But instead of 1000mg it is 750mg and you inject it every 6 to 8 weeks.

I don't think they are letting guys self-inject with Aveed (Nebido) yet in the US and it is crazy expensive. I can get a 2000mg vial of Test Cyp for $45 from a pharmacy vs. $915 for 750mg of Aveed. Not a very good value proposition in my mind until it moves to a generic drug.

That is correct, no self injecting is allowed by the FDA for Aveed yet. It is also non-formulary for nearly every insurance plan out there, mine won't cover it at all and my wife works for the insurance company and we consistently have the best coverage I've had in over 20 years. Very low co-pay's, no deductibles, ect. It took them so long and cost so much to get Test U approved in the US that the company with the patent here is keeping the price high to try and recoup their costs. Seems counterproductive though since very few people are using it, but they are probably smarter than me so who knows.

I would love to try it, but not if I have to go to the doctors office every 6 weeks and not if its going to cost me over 50x what my Testosterone costs me now.

That is very expensive and I though we where getting a bad deal in Europe with 2500mg vial of Test.E beeing $45 and 1000mg Nebido beeing $125. While people in Eastern Europe pay half that. In Europe Bayer has the rights, but in the US they sold it to Indevus (Endo International) and it is under Patent till 2027 (US 7718640)

@Profion9k

Nebido has a much longer half life (21 days, 34 days or 42 days depending on the source).

Just taking the average of 32 days. You will get 500mg in the first 32 days, then 250mg in the next 32 days and 125mg in the next 32 days and so on. You won***8217;t have the skyrocket and crash as you think you would. It is much more stable than other forms of testosterone.

Once every 6 weeks seems a high dosage. The official recommendation is 6 weeks after the first shot and then every 12 weeks. Although most cases show that patients take it every 8 to 9 weeks and once every 12 weeks is more common for female-to-male patients.

Manufacturers love to push the envelope when marketing the length of the ester. Pfizer still claims Depo (test c) half life is 10 days and you can inject every 14, we all know how false that is. Big Ben actually needs to inject ever 4 weeks I think to get the desired therapeutic effect. Everyone is different of course but when a manufacturer says every 12 weeks I cut that in half. Marketers are whores, they will say anything to make a buck

Since im only 21 and want big balls and kids someday, no hcg is no option.
Well...i dont mind injecting. I am only concerned about two things:
1) if i go on a wacation for 1 or 2 weeks, how am i gonna deal with that. My hcg would be black market, no prescription, how do i carry those vials around? like on the plane and things? And what happens if i skip the hcg for 2 weeks. Well anyways if that would be a problem, i guess i wouldnt have trouble finding a doc to write a script.
2) I question myself will i be able to keep that schedule of injecting hcg twice a week. Will i have that self-discipline of not quitting, that is the question. Speaking about 10+ years...or 30+years..

1)I just went on vacation, I gave myself a double shot before I left and a double shot when I got back, with 9 days between shots and felt zero adverse effects.

2) Injections are just a way of life now, I give them to myself 2/3 of the time, there is only 1 day out of 3 I'm not injecting so I never forget. Too much work? It takes a few minutes. Ask a diabetic who needs to inject every day to live, or a person on blood thinners who needs to inject 2x a day. Its fucking medicine, sucks you were dealt a shitty hand, but, you do what you have too do and live your life. You don't have a choice anyway.

You can take months off of HCG and still be fine. As for injecting... eh... quit being a baby. The biggest deal about it is the thought of it. If you ever hit rock bottom (which you obviously haven't)... you would happily inject daily to feel better. Hell, I would inject 10 times a day to not feel like I did 5 years ago.

Thanks for the advice guys!

The Nebido is by bayer and is a 1000ml with 640mg testosteron.
I will get my first shot tomorrow and when then have to evaluate bloodwork through the first 6weeks, at the end of week 6 i will get a booster shot of 1000ml again.

Idd say that 110mg testosteron every week is a minimum to keep medium/high levels! The Nebido contains 640mg wich devided by 6weeks does result in 110mg per week! I am not sure why they´d say that Nebido keeps testosteron elevated for 12weeks, that just dosent fit with the calculation of testosteron/weeks and would defently leave some one weakend by the end of 10-12week? Or am i wrong

If i am wrong and not correct on this one, please post your thoughts! I am seeing the doctor tomorrow and will have my new bloods that were taken here in Denmark.

So i recieved my Nebido shot today 1000ml in one glute. Took her about 20sec and was quite painless for a while, then whack i had trouble walking...

I can post bloodwork pre nebido in about a week and will do so! Likewise I will log my journey with TRT so that it might help others starting on Nebido and also be documentation for my doctor on how the treatment is going on a personal scale. I might eventually keep progress on my youtube channel aswell!

Bigbens log really gave me insight on Nebido, and eventually motivated me to regulate reinjections apon my bloodwork. We´ll see how it goes when it starts to kick in... As for now I am really happy that my treatment has begun, and that the 2months wait time is finally over... Low testosteron is a bastard, its though and it takes your mental drive from you! Ofte we are driven more by our mentality then anything else, so taking that away leaves a person broken

Ive survived stuff most people cant, form war, c, crashes and accidents! Ive always come out with a big smile and hearth eventhough life was at its hardest peaks... Im able to do that because my mentality, my drive and motivation... Now taking that away from me left me weak as a snail psysically and mentally this might actually have been the throughest fight in my life! Low T simply sucks

Cant wait to see progress

Awesome man! In psyched for you. It takes some time to get dialed in but you are on your way to feeling much better!
