I recently found out I have low (192) testosterone and was given a shot of testosterone (dose 200)from my doc.I felt great for a week then crashed as it wore off. My next visitI explained to my doc what happened and was prescribed androgel 1.62 and given another shot(dose 400). Here's the problem I can't afford androgel $389 month supply my insurance won't cover it. I called doctor and pretty much told he won't give at home injections and my insurance won't allow me to go to doc more than once a month. I need some suggestions to get off this rollercoaster ride. A little about me I'm 31 5'9 185 I have done cycles in the past but been years ago so I'm not opposed to just getting test but don't have local source since I've moved and at this point in my life I'm scared to take a chance getting busted. How can I convince my doc I know what I'm doing?

Tell him the truth. Are you primary or secondary? Have you looked into trying to get your natural t production going again? Basically a PCT?

No I haven't tried naturally. I really wasn't aware I had low t. I just was feeling bad all the time so he did the test and told me I needed testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I didn't ask for it. Forgive me but not sure what you mean by primary or secondary

He offered Androgel as a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) though? He offered the right remedy you just cant cover the costs...

Have you asked what insurance will cover? If they cover another method present it to him, and if he doesnt work with you move on. If not you can get Test from IMT thats on here or other clinics, I dont know what a monthly supply cost though, as those numbers seem to be mum until you give them your credit card.

Is the problem with your testicles or with your pituitary. You should get all that figured out before you start treatment.

Thanks guys. I did check with my insurance and I can get injectable test for $10 copay and androderm for $152 and that's it. So ofcouse I would rather go the cheaper route. Going to talk with doc again next week and if that don't work I'm going with IMT I spoke with them earlier and they are a much cheaper option than just buying androgel

I don't know who told you that but just cause they don't send out a price list doesn't mean they won't give you a very good idea of what certain programs would cost.

It is not in there best interest to advertise the same way other clinics do, and just cause some think "they play car salesman games" doesn't mean they are going to change what is in there best interest.

This is the second shot I have seen you take at them, and it is very inaccurate shot. They are actually one of the very few testosterone clinics that gives EVERYONE a FREE no obligation pre-approval of medication BEFORE they even ask for your credit card information.

So I guess that shows how much you know about them.

hey like I said before I asked before and it was never given. Kept asking for forms and lab information and I wanted a round about estimate before anything. Never given I moved on. thats all no hard feelings here. I wasnt asking to be diagnosed as I have all that already was just needing another source for the script. Thats what happened so please dont tell me I dont know what was said and post inaccurate information in my rep power. Other than that the staff was real friendly and knowledegable, just not a fan of their pricing policy. I personally dont like things that have prices on them or prices come last minute, thats a personal opinion of mine sorry.

So you turned in your labs and other waivers and they did not give you any prices?

BTW I wouldn't waste your time neg repping me, even if you did it 500 times it would not affect my exp points :)

I'm switching over to IMT from another company. IMT's prices are very good and should be something the average person can afford without insurance. They are also VERY knowledgeable in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), you will not find a GP with IMTs experience or understanding.

Oh I see what your saying now, you kept asking for pricing and they requested that you send in your paper work before they go over detailed pricing. Your absolutely right this is there pricing policy. They are not ABC warehouse and you are not buying a TV buddy. They deal with schedule III controlled substances, so if you can't take some time out of your day to fill out the necessary paper work in order to follow proper practices and procedures then they do not want you as their client.

Even if you had a problem with that it is inaccurate for you to go around saying "they play car salesman games", after all your not "buying" medications like a car with options, you are paying for a program to alleviate your low testosterone, and this can only be estimated once the necessary forms have been completed.

This has nothing to do with them "being mum until you give your credit card", as I already pointed out they don't even ask for your financial information until you get your pre approval.

So yes I gave you negative reputation points for your inaccurate post, which as I pointed out is VERY inaccurate.

Have a good day :naughty:

which is fine, that is why I moved on. Free country and I can chose to not like or like anything. Already been through months of test and paperwork and wasnt expecting to get something from them without paperwork. All I wanted was an estimate on cost based on what I was telling them, that way I could determine if it was worthwhile going that route or sticking with what I had. I dont like so it so what. Like you said they dont want people like me as a customer, fine, if thats their business practice then so be it. I get everything for free as it is, so its not worthwhile to spend my time of money messing with it.

^^^ this is all fine an dandy, but portraying them as "car salesman type" and them being "mum until you give your credit card info" is not right, cause that is not how they operate.

If you look I actually reccommended IMT on this thread and the other one. And did not point them out but generalized the Used car salesman till IMT themselves asked me to be specific. So I wasnt pointing fingers at anybody. If the used car salesman offended you I apoligize the reason I equated it to that was a used car salesman wont tell you the price until you test drive and fill out paperwork, which as shopper at least personally I like price tags on things. If they dont want to do that, fine, just stating my opinion just like you are. I'll just go elswhere or stick with what I have. No harm no foul, im moving on about this topic. But if IMT wants to PM the price tag on TEST for a standard 100mg E6d and a standard Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) plan I would appreicate that if they do not want their figures publicly displayed.

You just don't get it do you? Your just gonna keep responding in this thread until you get the last word?

I don't understand how I can be any more clear. I know exactly what you said, and what you were implying. My point is you were wrong, and you made it sound different than it is. I have cleared it up pretty well at this point and don't know why I am even still explaining it.

If you would like an accurate free consultation from IMT, please turn in your labs and IMT forms. This is the only way for them to give you an accurate estimate of what you will need.

IMT is not the company that gives the same protocol to everyone, there programs are individually based and rightfully so.

So as you can see it has nothing to do with playing car salesman games.

On top of that I can assure you there prices are of the most competitive out there.

For the record I hate used car sales man !! & who doesn't, right ? but in all seriousness IMT does not operate how u think Bro... How can they give u a price tag before evaluating what it is you need and what the protocol will be.. Once u turn in the pwrk the process runs smoothly.. BTW, u turning in the pwrk & getting a consultation from them doesn't mean your obliglated to go with them, the same process goes for any other Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) clinic Bro, it's not like if your ordering a one size fit all snuggie from Amazon...
(and not that I know about snuggies :D) lol

lol. I understand. Im moving on no beef here. Just a difference in opinion here. Thats why we have choices in life and can pick who and where we buy things or obtain services. Im sure IMT is great. thanks
