Hey just recently started dieting 4wks in now.

Was weighing in at 235lbs and fairly ripped b4 I started dieting but the 1st mistake I made was that I dropped by carb consumption far to fast and as a result i dropped 14lbs in a wk. As u can imagine I was pissed off big time. Ive slowly up my carb consumption and am lookin alot better. Id say that I am very ripped at the min, but want sum advice on carb consumption when dieting on training days and off days.

your 235 and ripped which is better than 95% of the board, why would anyone need to help you.........................anyways

what i do is try to keep my diet as steady as possible and on non workout days cut carbs out around 6pm. The trick is to keep the diet as easy as possible or else i loose intrest real fast....

other than that why don't you post up your diet so everyone can see wtf your talking about....pics too pls

lol it aint 14lbs of muscle that you lost, it was mostly water.

Loss weight

My Mother I have been using about more products for waking is not for good but I take for L-Tyrosine about 3 weeks for me to start noticing a real difference I lost 20 lbs. I have been for almost a year now and have been able to maintain my weight without maintaining any kind of diet.

"at 235lbs and fairly ripped "

You are a WABBA or IFBB professional candidate:)

I'l get sum pics posted.

I know that when I dropped 14lbs, i know it was mostly water, but my main question is basically when dieting how high or low do carbs have to be.

For myself I cut my carbs alot to cut, but ive read a number of articles who still eat alot of calories and hav high carbs. Im talking a shit load of chicken and rice 4 - 5 times a day along with other meals??

Right as I am getting soo much feedback off this post. I'l rephase my question.

Which of the following diets would yield best fat burning results whilst maintaining muscle mass.

Low carb diet: 1-1.5g carbs per pound bodyweight

Moderate carb diet: 2g carbs per pound bodyweight

Bell-curve diet:
Start at 2000cals per day and up 200g carbs every week and up protein intake 50g per week, until half way through the course until cals are around 4000 per day. Then start removing 200g carbs per week for the last half of the course, but keep your protein levels still high.

Staggered carb or carb loading:

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday have carbs at 50g/per day and protein at 2g/per pound bodyweight. Accompanied with weight training at light cardio.

Thursday and Friday have 100-150g carbs per day and protein at 1.5-1.75g/per pound bodyweight. Accompanied with weight training and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT)

Saturday and Sunday have 2g/per pound bodyweight of carbs and have protein at 1g/per pound bodyweight. No cardio, but maybe weight training. Might just use these 2days as rest days to recuperate.

I favour the last choice as excessive fat burning occurs during the 1st 5days, then muscle biulding occurs when carbs are upped in the last 2days, then repeated.

Any thoughts are welcomed.

WOW 168 hits and only 4replys!!!!

Come on, I only want some views on fat loss diets whilst maintaining as much muscle mass as possible.

How can some diets have next to none carbs and they still apparently dont lose muscle mass.

Thought carbs were needed especially to hold onto mass

I definitely drop muscle when I drop carbs really low. when trying to drop fat i keep carbs medium and fats and protein really clean. i dont drop wheight really fast but i feel better.

true passion>> then you gotta start eating more. if you train and eat more then you expend over time you will grow. just keep it healthy.
