Can you guys tell me the what, why, worries of this drug ? I would like a responce from Bigin and any one else who knows about this drug. Thanks!
The primary risk with DNP is cataracts, estimated to occur in about 1 in 1000 people. It appears there's genetic susceptibility to this and that in most people, cataracts will not form. In support of this idea, the development of cataracts does not appear to be dose dependent.
Second to cataracts is the risk of developing a rash. Somewhere between 10 and 20% of people who take DNP will have skin irritation. For some, it's just itching. For most, there's a mild to moderate rash, which can usually be treated simply by taking benadryl. Rarely, there's a severe allergic reaction, including hives and swelling, that necessitates hospitalization.
If you keep your dose low and make sure your body temperature stays under 99.1 (the upper end of normal), the risk of overdosing is negligible. In the 1930's, when an estimated 500,000 people took DNP for weight loss, there were only 3 case reports of overdose. Not three thousand. Not three hundred. Three. You've got to be pretty reckless to take enough to induce fatal hyperthermia. Respect it, stay at a low dose, increase the dose slowly (no sooner than every 3-4 days).
Beyond the risks, most of what you'll experience are just dose-dependent side effects like fatigue, warmth, sweating, food cravings, breathlessness, difficulty falling asleep or waking up, irritability, etc.
