I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

I'm 45 year old woman, I'm 5'6 and 180 pounds. I have been off work for a year do too being mauled by 2 pits dogs. My damage is my leg so I walk with a cane but can do some cardio.
I take meds so I don't know if this in interfering with me not losing.
I'm on the Atkins diet and have been on it for over 3 weeks. I do not do more than 20 carbs a day.

the meds I'm on are Cymbalta, Neurontin, Celebrex, Temazepam and Cyclobenazprine. I go to the gym 3 times a week with a guy friend and work out rather good. I'm just not getting it and the weight gain is not good for my leg so I need to lose some. Before the injury I walked up to 12 miles a day and was fit. Any advice would be grateful!!!

Thanks
BJ

this morning I had 2 boiled eggs and lunch I had avocado with a plain salad. I looked on 3j web site and at this time I just don't have the money to join. I get workers comp and that's not a lot.

no, I eat 3 times a day with small snacks like sf jello or a pickle. On the day I work out I eat 2 scrambled eggs are a atkins protein bar and when I get home I wil drink a small protein shake. lunch is tuna fish with a small dab of mayonnaise with 2 pickles

tonight we are having brisket and Im going to try to make cauliflower mashed up like mashed potatoes. I don't know if it is the meds are what!! I have been on the diet before and did great. the nerve damage and this weight is just killing me with pain and I refuse to take the pain pills unless I have to because they are addicting

those mashed cauliflower is great! I tried it once on a dare and now its all I eat when I want mashed potatoes. With lots of raw butter, yum yum...

a high-protein, high-fat, low-carbohydrate can be good i mixed with another but all said and done as you begin to increase carbohydrate consumption above the levels that you need for survival or periods of intense physical activity, you lose your ability to rely on fat burning mechanisms, and you experience the damaging effects of chronically elevated blood sugars, including neuropathy (nerve damage), nephropathy (kidney damage), retinnopathy (eye damage), increased cardiovascular disease risk, potential for cancer progression (tumor cells feed on sugar) and bacterial or fungal infection. Its up to you now.
