New labwork-----help!!

okay guys, maybe you can help interprate these results. ive been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) since 3/1/2013. My initial testosterone score was 218 on 3/1/13.

lab results 4/30/13.

Testosterone, Serum 693 range 348-1197

LH <.2 (flagged as low) range 1.7 - 8.6

FSH <.2 (flagged as low) range 1.5 - 12.4

Estradiol 55.8 (flagged as high) range 7.6 - 42.6

Red Blood Cell Count 5.57 range 4.14 - 5.80

Hematocrit 49.2 range 37.5 - 51.0


My current protocol is 100mg test cyp every 5 days. I also have been doing 500iu hcG the day before my test shot.
Do I need to introduce Arimidex to my protocol at this point? I was advised not to use Adex at first because my Estrogen levels were actually too low before starting TRT!!!!!!!

Note: The Estradiol test was not the Estradiol Sensitive Test. I paid extra to have the Estradiol Sensitive done, but those results wont be in for another day or so. Does this matter?

yes the sensitive will probably come in 10-20 points lower

darkmatter....for awhile i had been feeling really good. however, about 2 weeks ago, i began to notice a slight change. i very rarely have morning wood anymore, libido is very down (i had great libido the first month and a half on trt), i have noticed some anxiety issues too. I also havent slept very well the past few days(dont know if that is related), feel foggy and tired. I dont have any gyno related issues, however, no sore nips or anything.

In my experience, Estrogen can be very volatile. It doesn't seem to take very long for it to increase or decrease significantly.

Well, i just got off the phone with my IMT advisor, and he thinks I should wait until my Estradiol Sensitive results come in before I do anything different, as far as starting Arimidex. Im gonna wait another day or two and see those results, then ill make a decision to initiate Adex.

Darkmatter....Im doing it for both reasons. The main reason for the hcG was to retain testicular size, and keep my endogenous production of testosterone up as well. I don't have kids yet, but my wife and I do want children in the near future. I am aware of the spike of t that hcG produces, so that is the reason I pin the hcG the say before my cyp shot. Again, this most recent Estradiol score was not the Sensitive Test, and ill have to wait for the Sensitive test resulst to come in, in a day or two. I just wanna know if its possible to go from having too low of Estrogen to having elevated levels of Estrogen. Thoughts?

I did take a 500iu shot of hcG the day before my bloodwork. I wonder if that has anything to do with my elevated estradiol score.

wonder how the HCG is playing into this, are you using it for a cosmetic effect on your testicals ? or to spike test levels as the begin to drop towards the next Pinn , this alone could add points to the e2

There are many more reasons than the ones you listed to use HCG.

Estradiol Sensitive results are in: Score was 47. Im under the impression that optimum levels are in the 20's. What is crazy to me is that one month ago, my Estradiol Sensitive score was 9! I guess the elevated levels are due to me going from cyp 100mg every 7 days to cyp 100mg every 5 days, as well as the introduction of 500iu of hcG every 5 days as well.
With my Estradiol Sensitive score in the upper 40's, do you think i should go ahead and add a small amount of Arimidex to my protocol? I prefer to keep my test and hcG protocol where it is, if this is possible.

keep your test and HCG where they are, and adjust your Aromatase inhibitor (AI) intake to optimize e2 levels, shooting for 22.

i went ahead and just took .5mg of Arimidex. my adex is in capsule, not tablet form, so i can only take .5mgs at one time instead of .25mgs....im gonna try and get .25mg tablets ordered and take those twice a week. im under the impression that .5mg might be too much?

Arimidex is pretty powerful stuff. It doesn't take much. Keep in mind that low E is just as bad as high E. I would say that is a decent starting point. Or try .25mg every 2.5 days if you prefer. Give is about 3 weeks and then check your estradiol to see how that dosage is working for you. Everyone responds differently.

I could be way off here, but I bet lots of guys on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) take less than 1mg per week of Arimidex. Many guys don't even need an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) on a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose of Test.

mega.....that is a good point. i'll try the .50mg every 5 days and see how it does me. ill retest estradiol in 1 month.
