I was diagnosed a while back with low T. Initially the doc prescribed androgel. Then my hemacrit went high high and took me off the gel.
I than had pain in my arms and joints and took another blood test and was way low on vitamin D. Prescribed vitamin D.
Due to that and Low T I was very fatigued and went on ambien.
I just went for new baseline bloodwork on Monday so the latest results are not back.
I do take crestor too.
Feel pretty bad with low libido and drive.
I need advice here in NJ on what to do.

Here are my previous blood work numbers:
free test 29
total test 203

Welcome:

First thing you are going to want to do is get your test results, once you have them post them here so that we can evaluate you. Yes your level is low enough that you qualify as a good candidate for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) however depending on whether you have primary or secondary Hypogonadism will dictate the proper course of action for your treatment.

If you are primary then testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is most likely the right treatment for you, if you are secondary then a restart may work for you. You should also look into get a sleep study done for sleep apnea, not getting enough quality sleep can and will have a great impact on your test levels. It would also be very helpful to us if you posted all of your stats, age, weight, height, Bofy fat %, have you ever run a cycle, etc.

TRT is truly a lifesaving treatment for those of us who need it but it is also a lifelong commitment to a course of treatment.

Best of luck to you!

Edit: When you get your test results, make sure they tested your E2, it sounds like many of the symptoms you suffered were a result of elavated E2. Also start donating blood as often as they will allow, this will help to keep your hemacrit low.

You need to get back on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Your Total Test is really low. There are serious health risks with leaving hypogonadism untreated.

Ask for injections next time. Most guys have much better results. There are lots of problems with gels/creams? Spunkey gave you some good advice too.

Hello Stryker.

I am sorry to hear about your Low T and the problems you are experiencing. It sounds as if your doctor isn't providing you the treatment you need!

IMT can help, email me for more information!

You will have to educate your doc. It took me 5 years to find out what was wrong and stumble onto a doc that treated me properly. Life is good again!
