Of course is possible, she can lose weight if she's careful about diet, exercise and maintaining the right dose of her thyroid medication.. Does she get blood work done every 6 weeks to test her thyroid hormone levels ?..A lot of times it takes a while for doctors to find the "right" dose of thyroid replacement hormone medication.

Thx for the response Mrs P I don't know I will ask about her blood work and I think I will surprise her with 3js diet plan and start taking her to the gym with me. She thinks she can't lose it because of her condition.

It is harder to lose weight if you suffer from hypothydorism, and after removing your thryroid your body could enter into a state of hypothyroidism and hypothyroidism slows down the metabolism, making it harder to lose weight.
This is why she needs to have her levels checked regularly with her endo so she can make sure she's on the right dose of t4.

It is harder but with the right diet & excercising she can be as healthy & fit as someone without this problem.
3J can definitely tailor a diet that suits her.. Good luck
