not sure what I need to be looking for...

46 years old, 6 ft. and 160 pds. Always could run 5 miles without effort, but probably can’t bench my own weight. Next year, I am looking at joining special forces. Not US military, so the age is not a disqualifier. I am also an exmarine, so not worried about getting through it mentally. The program is a yearlong, but the first 6 weeks (after boot camp----6 weeks of intensive to weed people out) are my concern. Will need to compete against guys half my age. Can likely bring pills in, on the sly.

I am looking for something that will allow me to recover faster during those 6 weeks (and won’t damage my liver), not really worried about gaining mass, just need something that will compensate for my age. I know nothing about steroids, and everything I read seems to be conflicting. Any guidance on what would be appropriate would be greatly appreciated.

if such a 'magic pill' existed, believe me you would already know about it.

first things first, I suggest you get blood work done and see where your natural hormone/testosterone levels are currently at . who knows, at your age you could have a deficiency* that could be treated medically, and give you exactly what your looking for.. i'd look into that, before chasing some magic pill that does not exist.

*and the reason your so slim and can't bench your own body weight is possibly because of a deficiency as well.
I went from not being able to bench my own body weight, when I had a testosterone deficiency , to gaining 33 pounds and then being able to bench my own body weight by 25 reps. huge difference
