A guy at my gym came up to ask me for advice...but besides that... he said he went from 310 lbs down to 185lbs current, (he's 5'10)
,started last October. Said he works out 7days a week, 3hrs a day. He doesnt even have access skin as some other people who lose weight so fast do.
I'm wondering where someone gets motivation like that to lose weight. Absolutely amazing. I mean, spending 3hrs at a gym working out and doing cardio, there is no way I could ever do that.

With my contest training I've been spending that time in a gym also. Weights, cardio, and stretching. And looking at the hotties....... :)

Everybody has something that motivates them.

- maybe he loves all the positive attention he gets now
- loves feeling fit and healthy
- wants to justify the insane amount of the gym membership
- has a constant endorphin high
- afraid to go back to the obese lifestyle....the looks, people judging him, girls not wanting him,etc
- just loves working out
- attracted to someone else who works out there
- nothing else to do
- training for a sport and has the desire to win

I could go on and on! :druggie:

I don't see how he has no extra skin, that's unbelievable. Usually when someone loses that much weight, if there is no surgical alteration, loose skin will remain. Good for him.

Sucks man, I know how you feel. I lost about 40 lbs. in three months during high school (stupid dieting) and I have some loose skin that I fear may stay with me forever. Right now though, the plan for me is to keep cutting down so I can truly discriminate between fat and extra skin.

stress can make u go stress eating.

abnormal thyroid can make u loose weight in a flash or lock ur weight from going down and become obese. dedication/discipline and not minding looking smaller than before.

it's true, i'm smaller now than before and strength did decrease, but i'm having fun and cardio is picking up. rebuild i say
