Ohh! So now I remember why I hate deadlifts...

Because I get light headed and almost pass out after each set! GRR! I'm very careful of my breathing I think I'm just gonna drop doing them completely. Anyone else have this happen?

Never felt like passing out, but DL's do get the blood flowin and body temp up.
There is no sub for a DL, one of the best exercises of the week.
Try slowin it down a little before you cut them out, may just need to make
an adjustment.
BTW.. How many sets/reps are you doing? How is your cardio? BF%?

That happened to me last week, it was my first time doing them... I hate them as well, but we have to do them...

Deadlifts are brutal for me, but I still love them. After almost every set I get light headed and dizzy, and I try really hard to breathe right while I'm doing them.

do u have low blood pressure ?, b-cause thats what happens to me when I lift, here is a trick dont lift so heavy that u want to raise up fast. Try something moderate were you could raise slowly and breath. That should help.

dude deadlifts make me feel just about everyway you can think of-the bottomline they are exhausting-thats why its such a great exercise. everything hurts when im done-thats the beauty of them

I dunno,I have never exerted my self on a lift where I felt like like I was going to pass out.
I thinking RAGU you just are walking up to the bar and yanking it with out getting the blood moving same with the OP.Try some light weight and get some reps in 135x10-12 2-3 sets to really warm up.See if that helps

See that's why I find it so odd. I am very aware of the dizziness, the light headed feeling, and occasionally nauseous feeling that I get, so I pay very close attention to form. I warm up with one 45 per side for a couple sets. Last week I did 385lbs, 5 sets of 5 reps. I didn't struggle with it, it wasn't too heavy, and I keep my form good, head up, etc. It's very strange to me.

Me either... I'm gonna drop deads for a while until I get some of this extra weight off. I started light and it was 10 reps that got me light headed. I sad down and didnt embarrass myself but the the blood was flowin for sure.

Wow he really did take a nasty spill and his buddy filming was laughing. He probably busted something in his face.
