Boltbreaker

Just thought I would get guys to post here what you do on those days when it is tough to keep choking down the endless meals of bland shit.. Tips tricks and advice. I like Concentrates to help my appetite :):)

No reason for your food to be bland. As I just stated in another thread, there are a ton of healthy recipes out there (hit up youtube or any over video site). On top of that they are ways to add taste to your food without adding fat / salt etc, such as herbs / spices. The long route will be hitting up youtube and trying out new recipes. If there is an item you love then find a way to make it better. For example I love pizza so I found some healthy variations for it. Plenty of recipes on there for chicken as well. Try a new way of cooking the items you already eat. Tired of grilled chicken, try baked chicken. Find ways to make it more juicy / moist. Add flavor (back to those herbs / spices). Eating healthy isn't something new. A ton of recipes out there on the world wide web. Only problem is people in our boat tend not to like to cook. Lucky for me I don't mind cooking and I have a wife who helps out when I do mind.

The quick answer would be to have a cheat meal, or simple skip a meal if you're not hungry. Nothing wrong with giving your body a break. In fact I would skip a meal and have a cheat meal. It will not break your goals, unless you are in contest prep, and even then that will depend on how far you're in.

@ kaname ...Good thoughts. I do liven my food up with Lemon and Hot sauces and peppers. Sometimes you just dont feel like eating ya know.. I may just skip when I feel like that until I get really hungry..

Yeah, mine too. i just keep hearing, "if you dont eat, you wont grow". Theres my motivation to choke another meal down. but like kaname said, cheat sometimes...i know i do.

These things keep me sane while on a strict contest diet

- Coffee
- Crystal Light (5 cals)
- Diabetic Candy (less than 10 cals)
- Sugar Free Jell-O (10 cals)
- Walden Farms calorie free sauces (yummmmm) Walden Farms Hickory Smoked BBQ - Walden Farms Canada (zero cals)
- Sea Weed snacks (less than 10 cals)

It adds flavour into the blandness of my diet, I guess you were asking about bulking but it sort of applies still.

I'm curious to know what the sea weed snacks taste like? I believe I've seen a few videos where people wrap that around rice patties? Maybe I'm thinking of something different. And man I forgot about crystal light. That stuff is great, makes drinking water soooooo much easier.

Tastes kind of like sushi. It comes in thin sheets in a bunch of different flavours and its crunchy so its satisfying. Really good stuff I buy big packs of it from a chinese supermarket for like 4 dollars each.

Ok cool cool. That sounds like it then. Even though I'm not a sushi guy, I still would like to try some one day. Guy's cooking videos I like to watch uses it a few different times. It shows a picture of it wrapped around some rice in like the first 2 seconds of this video (actually I think it shows on the picture):
