Opinions and experience? I'm stuck

The only way to really know if it was malabsorption is with GI tract testing. It would be hard to tell just from that value.

You would be best getting a 12 panel amino acid urinalysis, this would point you in the right direction of:

Adreno Cortex Testing
GI Testing
Hair Testing

Thats how you would get to the bottom of it.

Would testing B12, folate, vitamin D suffice? That and maybe gluten antibody tests? Tonight the cramps are the worst I've ever had them. Its like a deep gnawing

it could, but you could shoot and miss too :) The nice thing about the amino test, is that it is possible to balance them and solve the problem.

So it just depends. I think the price of the test is worth it because they are not that expensive. I think $150 ? or maybe even 129. I cant remember.

If you do vitamin D you need to get both tests, and those are pricey, just for the 2.

May be worth a shot on the amino to point you in the right direction.

Have you ever had Vit D test? What was your ratio?

A few years ago my Vit D came back like 61 on like 40-80 maybe? I don't remember lol

you gotta get both.

25 hydroxy
1,25 dihydroxy

The ratio is more important than the total. You can actually be converting too much and causing inflammation.

Or not enough.

Hope this helps

Liver enzymes have already been checked. Came out fine. At this point I'm thinking celiac or crohns potentially.

IF you really thought crohns or such you should maybe read up on LDN....Low Dose Naltrexone...people are using it for many things including crohns, fibro, ms......and I've just been reading how some BBs have used it on cycle instead of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) hoping they keep their HPTA functioning so they really don't need a PCT....I'm not done reading so don't know how it went for them.

After you are an RN and after Ireland you might consider becoming a NP and having your own HRT/TRT clinic!

That's ultimately my goal! Assuming everything goes as planned.

Obviously its ideal to go to a gastroenterologist to get to the bottom of this, but most require referrals. Is it possible to go to a family physician and try to diagnos problems like this?

Why don't you just call your doctor and ask him to recommend a good GI doctor for you? Or ask your friends and family to recommend one? Unless you are in an HMO you shouldn't need a referral.

I believe in starting to piece this together. About a year ago I had my total cholesterol level taken and it came back 90..which is pretty damn low. I have greasy stools, sometimes clay colored and am feeling fatigued and unable to really go hard in the gym. I've lost weight and muscle over the past year and my appetite has been slowly decreasing..I'm starting to think all of these things may honestly be related to my liver. I don't drink or anything, but who knows. The low cholesterol is often seen in liver disease, and it can also cause hypoglycemia which would explain why I'm fatigued. The bloating and cramps could definitely be related to fat malabsorption and this just seems closest to an answer..

I thought you said your liver labs were coming back fine. Anyway, you have a hypothesis. Go prove it out now. I hope you get your answer.

By the way, how about putting up a warning the next time you decide to post pics of you feces. :-)

They have, for the most part. There was an elevated alk phos come to think of it though awhile back, and regardless I need to see a gastroenterologist. I know the root of my issues lies in my GI tract, and all my symptoms match up to the liver. Can liver issues cause muscle loss? Any comment on that cholesterol level?

I'm sorry about the shit too lol..but doesn't look normal, eh?

Low cholesterol can aid in low T i think from memory. As our natural steroids are created from it.

Hmm is that slightly white? That would indicate some sort of bile issue maybe. Also maybe hepatitis.

Are you on any other medications?

Did you get to see the GE?
