Pain from training...

I have a question...my boss put me through a leg workout Monday morning (I haven't worked legs in months), and I can't walk today, Wednesday...it's not sore, it's painful. Will muscle rub or ibuprofen help any?? I struggle getting my stairs or just getting up from a sitting position...
 
Some light stretching should help along with ibuprofen...second day after legs always sucks. I find going for a walk to get the blood flowing and then some stretching alleviates the discomfort a bit but time is what you need.
 
Thanks Fender...I taugh Spin this morning, and that kinda helped...I mean, my legs didn't hurt while I was teaching, but the minute I got off that bike, I was hurtin' for certain! I've been stretching...mostly it's just keepin' my legs straight that helps...blah...Imma go pop some ibuprofen!

Aint it amazing?? You kick the shit out the bodypart that's in pain and it feels better while you do it. It's like getting drunk to alleviate a hangover.


*Edit* I used "alleviate" twice in the same thread...I need a thesaurus ....
 
Lactic acid buildup.....after 4 months of non training I am not going to do a full blown workout.....ya gotta ease back into it

I didn't have much of a choice...it was a forced workout...And of course, my boss was in my face, yelling..."YOU AREN'T A WUSS! YOU WANNA JOIN THE MILITARY!?!? DON'T STOP!!"

I'm stubborn and don't give up...now I can't walk. Yay...

Haha nope!!

...okay, it still hurts...I walked outta the gym crying because I can't fuckin' get up from the bench without feeling like a knife is ripping through my muscle...
