Hey guys so I'm starting to become a little worried. This is my first cycle of test e and I had my 4th pin last Thursday in my right quad. Its been a little over two days and the pain and swelling hasn't gone down. Worst pin experience yet! I also developed some chills and a fever last night along with tonight. I used proper sterilization and I know the test is quality. Any ideas of why this pain is so bad and I have a small fever?

Its normal for first time quad pin...quads are a bitch regardless, alot of guys stay away from quads because of crippling pip
Your muscles will get 'used to it' after a couple times around
Be sterile, warm test before inject, aspirate, and inject smooth and slowly! Shower before to warm up muscle and switching to a fresh pin after drawing will also help reduce pip.
If the pain doesn't go away after 3-4 days, or it becomes red, and/or 'warm' to the touch, it may be infection, and you need to see a doctor.
Pay attention to your 'fever', although it is a symptom of infection, it may just be in your head!
More than likely its just crippled virgin quad.

I cant do quads. I stick to glutes snd delts. Quads almost always leave me crippled. Its possible to get an infection even when the gear is good and youve taken all the necessary precautions. Sometimes it just happens, even in the hospital. Like popeye50 said, its hard to distinguish pip from an infection sometimes. If fever persists and it is warm red and painful to touch, then go to walk in clinic. Just tell them you dont know how it started, bug bite or something. If you let it go too long, the infection can eat into your muscle. Then when the infection is drained, there will be a pocket left under your skin and you will always see a dent in your muscle. If you catch it early enough, some antibiotics will take care of it.

Where exactly did you inject ? 6 inch above knee ? 12 ? Outer quad or inner ? What kind of needle and how many times have you pinned quads before ? If you could pinpoint the pain, where is it exactly ? And how much gear did you shoot ?
Alright, I just woke up with the same amount of pain and tenderness. I am having a hard time distinguishing whether this is an infection or just my shakey hands and virgin muscles. I guess the good news is there is no redness or heat coming from the site. The first 3 pins went very smooth and I have no complaints other than some mild pain which I suspected. This however has not gone away and I can feel a small lump around the area. The gear is from wicked labs. I pinned directly in the middle of my leg between my hip and knee if that helps. Just off to the right about 2 inches. I used 1cc with a 1 inch needle. This morning it's about 10/10 for pain and I can barely move. I've been pounding ibuprofen but that only goes so far.

Stay away from quads for one depending on the compound, my quads cannot take Prop at all but is pain free with other compounds, as other members here have said with safe injection tips never do more than 2ml in one site.
Try switching labs and compare, I have never heard of wicked labs before. Also for the quads and most other area's remember its upper outer section of the muscle.

You're also describing symptoms of "test flu," which may or may not be a myth. I'm not going to tell anyone not to go to the hospital, but chances are you're just dealing with some ugly pip. The vastus lateralus can be a bitch, especially with prop (and tren ace). You said this is your 4th pin, I am hoping you haven't hit that quad four times? Have you tried glute/ventroglute? I have no trouble at all with VG, even with 2cc's and even with compounds that hurt.

Ok, does bending your knee help aleve the pain slightly ? Does it hurt most when your leg is fully extended ?

I've hit nerves pinning quads and that shit hurts.. did your leg twitch when u pinned?
As long as I don't bend it to much it's ok pain wise. Now that you brought that up when I pinned I felt a slight pain but kept pushing in slowly. I could have hit or gone through a nerve but I have no idea. Again I'm new to all this so I'm trying to figure out what's going on and make sure this doesn't happen again. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen an that helped a little.

Lots of people won't hit the quads for exactly this reason. Does you no good to use exogenous T if you can't very well take it out at the gym. Def go with the glute.

As a first time user I can relate to this, as I was not expecting PIP in my quads, however I never had it as bad as what your are saying. I would suggest to get it checked out if it does not clear up with the amoxicillin.
I hope this is not an abscess because if it gets bad then what the doctor will have to do to fix it will not look pretty. This is one of my biggest fears with injections, getting an abscess.
