Physician Recommenation - Fort Worth TX

Hello!

I am looking for any recommendations for a good physician based on experience with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and Testim in and around the Fort Worth, TX area.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you're using your insurance then check with them. They will point you in the right direction. If you're paying out of pocket, then contact Chip. Even if you're not paying out of pocket, contact Chip. By the time you're done with the copay, waiting in their shit hole common area with a bunch of sick fucks and then getting the privilege of listening to this ass clown tell you you don't testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or better yet, prescribing test but with no HCG or Aromatase inhibitor (AI), you actually come out ahead by going to Maximus. I have great insurance and it would cover my test completely, yet I still opt to pay out of my own pocket to go with Chip and Maximus. Why? Hang around a little while and make some friends and you'll find out. Chip is the best in the country at what he does and to me that's worth spending a little more. Welcome to ology.

I am currently using insurance, but I am willing to pay out of pocket if justified. The whole Testim experience with my current Physician has been a total cluster fuck.

I just registered on the Maximus website. Thanks for the input.

yeah man I wasted months of time and a ton of gas trying to find a doctor that would work with me so it could be covered by ins.

I ended up going with Maximus and should get all my stuff for my protocol next week.

So far they've been great to deal with.

I think if you're in a situation where you know there is a "good" doc in your area that takes ins than give it a shot. Otherwise you're gonna waste a whole lot of time tryng to find one through trial and error.

Yea I am going the Maximus route also. Judging by what everyone else in this forum says and the fact that the people here make more sense then the multiple doctors I have talked to and every one of them a** holes giving me different opinions.

I decided that I am not even gonna give the docs a shot at fu*king with my levels.
I am just glad that there is some hope and light at the end of the tunnel.

So far I have only contacted chip thorough emails and he has been great and very responsive. I am very exited about jumpin on the boat with this team. After reading the forums over here and the magic chip has done with a lot of the people over here I cant help but be impatient and exited to start my new journey.

My experience with endocrinologists and average physicians is that they are very incompetent. Most of them have no personal experience with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and therefore all they have to go by is a book that says every person should receive 100mg a week or gel. I have found the Maximus team to be very reasonable and even cheaper than seeing a local doctor.

When I am feeling not enough energy or anything I want to be listened to. I do not want to be referred to another doctor, or given some wizard of oz man behind the curtain or fear mongering speech of how every patient should be treated with the same protocol. I want my doctor to be competent enough to get my SHBG down and block environmental estrogens. I only know of one other doctor in the entire country that even knows how to do that and he is ridiculously expensive next to Maximus. And for me that was the trick to amplifying my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) results.

Even if Maximus costed 3-4x as much as it currently does I would work the extra hours to pay for it. And as it stands now it is cheaper than getting lunch once or twice a week for me. And since my productivity in every aspect of my life has gone up, I can't even put a price on it, but I know that my income has risen substantially since starting with Maximus. I got a better paying job, applied to go back to school and got accepted with a 3.8 GPA that will virtually be entirely covered by scholarships...got better relationships and a girlfriend. And before Maximus I had absolutely nothing. I was in bed depressed wanting to jump off a bridge most days because I had no energy to do anything and a 200 testosterone level, which is horrible even at my younger than average age. I should add that I had tried testosterone before with a local doctor before seeing Maximus, and one that I traveled to. And I did not feel nearly as good or rejuvenated until I got with Maximus. So I did not walk into this game a newbie. Chip's docs know how to treat a patient.

So I pretty much owe every post possible on this board to Chip for saving my life and happiness...though I post here now to help others and to make sure that they know what they are capable of on the right hormone protocol. I shopped around before Chip and he was by far the cheapest.

And I have read many others here say the same exact thing.

I echo what cjw posted. Once you have a taste of life again, there is hardly anything that will stand in my way to get that feeling every fucking day - and safely via Chip's expertise and he working with doctors to ensure everything is safe.

I have a 'concierge' doctor who I pay thousands a year just to be more convenient - I don't have time to dick around with referrals and nonsense. They should have a strong network to talk to on my behalf. However, he and his network couldn't get their shit together and I was feeling worse after a few months than when I started - no Aromatase inhibitor (AI) and no HCG and no expertise. I imagine I could tell my doc what worked with Maximus and he'd prob handle BUT there is no fucking way I would do that rather than support someone who is helping many many people PLUS Maximus prices are about the same as out of pocket pharmacy prices. Oh and my doc does't have the expertise to help me dial to optimum.

That's how happy I am with the protocol I received and the awesome service - and I'm a pain in the ass customer always tweaking my protocol to dial into ABSOLUTE OPTIMUM! So I ask a lot of questions (poor Chip). Course, a few more weeks I'm sure I'll be fully dialed!

I am fortunate enough to be able to take full advantage of an optimum protocol, but if I had to choose between a car or a bike + testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) I'd choose the latter because I'd have the energy to get out of bed and ride to work. Before Maximus I was lucky to get out of bed and get to my car. I hate, fucking really hate the thought of going back to the way I was. No way.

HEY, TR90215 I live in TEXAS !! actually about 2 hrs from Ft Worth and I will tell you who I use....MaximuS.:biggthump

I am at the beginning stages of becoming a Maximus client. I started on Testim at the beginning of this year. Spent 3 months using 1 tube daily and my testosterone went from 241 to 252. In April my PA told me to use two tubes daily, but didn't actually update the script so I was effectively speeding on my prescription. This cost me another follow up visit and a couple of out of pocket purchases at the pharmacy. My script was updated, but each time I went to get it filled, there was a snafu with the insurance company that resulted in a delay filling the script usually followed by me paying out of pocket anyway. In addition, I travel extensively in my job and because Testim is a "controlled substance" I can't get any refills until I am basically out of product. On more than one occasion I booked business travel without checking my remaining Testim tubes and was unable to get a refill prior to my travel because I still had too many tubes left. Recentlly I was on extended travel and had to transfer my prescription to another state to get filled. After more insurance confusion, script confusion and another out of pocket refill I got two weeks supply. I returned to Fort Worth last week and called the pharmacy two days ago to refill again. As it turns out, because it is a "controlled substance" it can only be transferred 1 time. The pharmacist, who was very helpful, indicated she would have to fax over a new script, depsite the fact that the existing script had two more 30 day refills. A few hours later the doctor's assistant called and said they would not write a new script until I came in for more blood work. July is the first 30 day period I was able to use Testim without interruption due to doctor/insurance/pharmacist or travel related issues and I was just starting to feel positive effects from two tubes daily. Now, despite the fact that the script wasn't even expired, they would not update it without more blood work, AND my doctor wasn't available until next week was absolutely the last straw. To complicate matters, I leave town on Sunday and won't return until Friday night, resulting in at least a 10-14 day delay in Testim application. The silver lining in this story is the shit that went down motivated me to seek alternatives and I am now in contact with Chip. Also, my doctor came to his senses by the end of that day and updated the script anyway, but the thought that he could even consider forcing me to go 10-14 days without testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as soon as it started to really work was a pretty big red flag.

Sorry for the long drawn out post, but this whole process has been a first class goat screw.

GREAT POST. GREAT STORY. GREAT END RESULT. YOU'LL SOON BE WORKING WITH ME AND I WON'T LET YOU DOWN. IN A FEW WEEKS WHEN YOU ARE TOTALLY "DIALED IN", THE GOATS WILL RUN FREE AND NO LONGER NEED TO WORRY ABOUT BEING SCREWED..... (BUT YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER(S) WILL)! :elephant:

Thanks DeusMalo, I appreciate your blunt candor... Could someone please post a link to Maximus info... I have never heard of it... Im obviously new to this forum... However I am not new to the disgusting run around of mis information associated with getting affordable TRT... I am recently retired so obligated to particapate in the Obama care insurance... Which here in DFW Texas no doctors will accept as insurance... So its out of pocket for me as well... any help would be much appreciated.
