Propecia on TRT - question for cashout

Hello.

I am a long time lurker to this board, and your fan :). I know you are probably tired of propecia questions, but I have a quick one. If I am not mistaken, you are on propecia for 16 years, and on 250 mg testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for a year. I was just wondering, did you notice any hairloss when you hopped on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) beacuse more test = more dht, and if propecia blocks 70% of dht, that means 30% remains. Maybe 30% on 250 mg testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is more than 100% off cycle? Propecia works great for me, but I need to go on 250 mg testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and I am prone to mpb... so I am worried.

Thanks

(reason I am posting this here is because I cant send you PM)

You are correct I am in my 17th consecutive year of finasteride use.

I noticed no hair loss once I started my HRT protocol. (200 mg weekly of test cyp).

Yes finasteride inhibits anywhere between 55% - 85% of the type II iso-enzyme of the DHT. That reduction is more than enough to mitigate the cumulative effects of DHT on the hair follicles.

The goal with finasteride usage with or without HRT is to keep the iso-Type II enzyme of DHT at an acceptable level to prohibit continuous scaring of the receptor follicles over time. As long as you are reducing - not eliminating - that iso-enzyme and maintaining it at an acceptable but low to normal level I would not expect one to loose hair.

Hey Cash...I know now i should have started propecia years ago with my TRT.. i still have decent hair but really now I am able to see thinning and my scalp itches like crazy..6 years into my testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), to start propecia now what are your thoughts on bringing back some of lost hair...thx

you can get it online from canada..but i think dr's write it fairly ofetn here...anybody have any experience using propecia to bring back hair or stop any scalp issues? thx
