While I don't cycle, Im on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) so I did a short blast to get some momentum going in the gym. Noticed right off that my strength gains outpaced my connective tissue's abilities to heal.
I'm considering going to an alternating week routine where I go heavy one week, and lighter, higher reps the next. (thinking stay with the 5x5 on heavy weeks and do the circuit the next).
but the general question is how to keep from damaging the connective tissue. My elbows are barking up a storm especially. I don't want to stop training, but I don't want to do any real damage.
thoughts on how to promote ligament and tendon growth and healing to keep pace with strength gains?
