Quad redness and inflammation 3 days after injection

I started my first cycle 6 days ago. My first shot was my left delt with normal pip, then had a quad pin on Thursday (3 days ago) that is not going over as well.
I am running Test E 500mg/wk. My friend gave me the pin in my left quad using a 22g 1.5", my quad had a spasm when he first stuck in and full injection after aspiration was probably 10seconds. About 12 hrs after the inj I was limping at work, then it got progressively worse until today when the pain was much more bareable. Some pain has subsided but there is redness around the injection side that was not there on the second day. The muscle just feela incredibly tight and is moderately swolen.
Please help...

I'm not a doctor so if u think its infected then go to a doctor. Try googling images of site injection infections and see if yours is comparable. If so, then u need medical attention.

First of all, stop letting other people inject you. Nobody injects me. I did a calve shot the other night, and it got red patchy and warm to the touch. Looked like it could have been infected, but I keep shit clean. It was sore for 5 days. It finally went away. But sure, I was nervous as I been injecting a long time and never had an infection. Thought this was gunna be my 1st.

Go to doc if you think it's infected. Typically if its infected it will streak redness upward on your body. So if you see it traveling up def. go to a doc ASAP. In the mean time use an antihistamine and ibuprofen to help your inflammation. Heating pad will help somewhat as we'll. good luck

I took my mans advice here and it did finally go away. Any longer and I would have gone to Dr.

Thanks for the quick replies. Im going to pick up some ibuprofen tonight and see if I can get to the dr tomorrow. Does anyone have experience using genotec gear?

Geno tec gets good reviews on the boards he sponsors. I doubt if it is bad gear. This can happen with virgin muscle. It can get inflamed. That is what happened to me. I'd give it a couple more days before going to Dr, unless you can afford time of and everything else. Dont tell him you pinned. Say you snagged your leg on a nail or something

heating pad will help cramps, but if it's an actual infection it will only provide a better environment for shit to grow....

how will a heating pad provide a better environment for infection to grow? if this was the case why would doctors advise you to hot compress infections

viral or bacterial? ....if he has in infection from an IM done himself I'm 99% sure it's bacterial; increased heat will only speed up the rate of infection...what fucking Dr says to heat an infection?

Jones told me to take benadryl. That seemed to work good. Plus I downed a bottle of Blue Cheese Dressing! LOL

Blue cheese...EWE!!!! lol
Benadryl? why, to make you sleepy and stop worrying about infection?

Just post a pic and I'm pretty sure I can tell if it's an infection or not. Otherwise, IF it is significantly more red than the surrounding skin take a black marker and trace the outline, it tomorrow the redness has moved outside of that line it MAY be a bacterial infection

i know that they tell people with merca to put a hot compress on it. heat draws the infection to the surface
