Question about libido and too much AI.

Within the last few weeks I have noticed my libido take a dive. I had bumped my Arimidex from .5mg every 3.5 days to .75mg every 3.5 days. I did this because my estrogen number was a tad high and my acne on my back was in my opinion pretty bad. Anyhow, since bumping my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) dose up, my libido seems to have vanished and my acne really isn't any better. I know I need to go get my estrogen checked to confirm the number now but could there be any other reason for low libido than crashed/too low of estrogen? I must say, before I upped my Aromatase inhibitor (AI), I couldn't keep my hands off myself, I was the best I ever had. LoL.

100mg test cyp Monday morning and Thursday night and 250iu HCG 24 hours before my test injections. I take my .75 mg of Arimidex when I pin my test. So my Aromatase inhibitor (AI) is 1.5 mg a week total. Thanks!!

That is a lot of arimidex on 200mg of test per week. Are you sure you haven't driven your E2 down too low? I know everyone is different, but for comparison I take .50mg of adex per week on the same testosterone dose as you.

It is entirely possible. My "ULTRA-sensitive" Estrogen on 1mg of Adex a week came back at 42 with the reference range being less than 29. That's when I bumped it with another .5. A week.

I can comment that my E2 usually comes back at 95 pmol/L which is 25 pg/ml when using 0.25 mg ADEX EOD on HCG monoprotocols....
For TRT (without HCG) I would come back at 75 pmol/L (roughly) with same dose of ADEX... might be too low
anything less than 12 pg/ml should be a crash in E2 I imagine.

I take 0.5mg eod of dex with no issue. what are you on?

ahh missed what section this wa sin, my bad. 0.12-0.25mg eod-e3d might work better, but you need blood work to really know.

For what it's worth, my libido seems to be massively sensitive to how much adex I'm taking. If I've got it nailed, have missed a dose for weeks, 0.25mg EOD will have me sprouting spontaneous boners left right and centre. By mistake, I took 3 doses in 4 days 2 weeks ago, and it destroyed my libido, and it still hasn't come back.

There's probably a sweet spot you need to identify with blood work, and try and keep it as close to that value as possible. Chopping and changing the amounts you are taking all the time will only muddy the waters.

Thanks for the info bud. I didn't get any replies last night so I decided to drop back to .5mg. I figure that I'm close enough to my target that I can play around a little bit. I'll post back if things change. Thanks!!
