Hello ladies ! Here's the situation, i recently had a breast enhancement procedure and really needed some info as how heavy is safe to lift for chest ? Don't want to damage my new additions :) Any help is appreciated , thanks.

When did you have the augmentation? When I had my breast augmentation, my board certified, well known surgeon said no lifting for 4-6 weeks after surgery. After that I was clear to do anything, though "fly"s were a little painful at first and do not expect for your strength to be the same, it can take a few weeks to be where you were at before. Be patient and listen to your body, most importantly ask your surgeon when you can start again. When you have recovered you should be able to lift as much as your body will allow - hope this helps!

I had the surgery 10 wks ago , took some time to heal and not really rushing things, but def want to be safe . Still a little sore when i lift my arms . Thanks Blondie80 .

Did you have the placement of implants under the pectoralis muscle ? if u did, the apperance of the implant is much better, now, will the implant be squeezed by the muscle while lifting, yes it will, but this is not an issue at all.. the implants are made to stand a lot of abuse..
u can experience "flattening" of the implant if u flex your pec muscles, but this is not a problem either... you don't need to modify your chest routine at all once you've waiting the amount of time u need to wait before statrting to lift again.

It's advised to wait a weerk after surgery to do cardio & about 2-3 weeks for (light) lifting... Chest excercises it's advised u wait at least 9 weeks (remembering thast if it hurts don't do it) as this is a sign your body is not ready yet.... your strength will not be the same at first, but at around 12 weeks it's pretty much back to how it was pre-op... so once u feel comfortable u will contunue to increase your strength like if u never had the procedure.
