questions about CG bench form

huh?
how close should your hands be on the bar?
where do you bring the bar too on your chest/abs?
do you keep your elbows tucked in by your side?

thanks guys

Most guys with old injuries go by what feels the best, I like hand spacing armpit width, I flare my elbows out and I bring the bar to my nips...

i bring my grip a full hand inside the ring..depends on your style but i bring the bar down to lower chest/upper abs the same spot as reular bench, and i tuck my elbows in as well

BB, When I do RGBP I like to bring the bar just below my Pecs...
i go a few inches lower than that but everyones groove is different , the main thing is to find the groove that is best for you . to many of the young guys just do what someone tells them or copy the biggest bencher they see you have to experiment in the gym to find the proper hand spaceing ,groove, deadlift style, etc. for yourself .

My grip is pointer on the smooth...or maybe even a tad wider. My shoulders are broader than some though.

I feel that if you go too close...you aren't really working your triceps that much at all but stressing your joints too much. There comes a point where you need to put your body in the best mechanical position in order to use optimal poundages to stimulat the most growth.

This is me doing some reps on the close grip..after doing two other exercises for overheads.

Close Grip Bench

Ain't it the truth, I always give my opinion and what works for me, never is it this way is god, you must find that spot, since injuries play a major part in lifting and getting the most out of the exercise...

injuries forced me to give up conventional benching for any serious amount of weight thats how i ended up switching over to reverse grip benching .

This is probably the reason I do not go into powerlifting due to injuries to my rotators from many years of heavy Flat Benching, I have zero problems with Declines and Inclines and just love RGBP...

the apf allows reverse grip benching :eyes:

there is very little flat raw benching in training for a shirt human. in fact there is zero cept for a couple of warm ups. its all baord work, rack work and shirt work, the shoulders are spared on all these movements.
