questions regarding trt

bte2

I am banned!
1)Do you have to be old to be prescribed test? Or just have low levels?

2) Do they prescribe other gear besides test (winny, anavar etc.)?

3) Do they prescribe the necessary (possibly necessary) ancillaries (ie, cabergoline, aromasin, etc.)?

4) Does insurance cover it? Is the cost justifiable? For example, would it cost more or less than buying a cycle from a UGL, and all the necessary ancillaries, and then paying for bloodwork once or twice?

I'm just wondering, i think it would be great to get medical grade test and have intense medical supervision. have at it!

What is old??? I knew a guy that was 26 on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), It is gonna be more expensive than most ugl, I dont know about insurance though

As to #1... No you don't have to be old.
2. They are not going to prescribe you "gear". IF you have low test levels they will probably start you out with a gel like Androgel or Testim. If the Doc does prescribe a depot it will be test cyp (winny, anavar = never).
3. They will only provide an Aromatase inhibitor (AI) if your test levels are already high. In most cases you will only be prescribed 100mg per/wk. Certainly not enough to trigger any issues with most males.
4. Insurance??? My test levels were at a record breaking low and my insurance is not covering. I have a feeling they think I am going to an Anti Aging Clinic. Without insurance it is about $35 a month. Calling Health Advocate with blood work tomorrow to get insurance to cover it.

Getting the script required seeing my regular doc and 2 specialists. Not an easy task and my levels were at 65. Certainly a health issue. First 2 docs were not comfortable with prescribing a depot. You will find that most docs are clueless about trt.

I have a totally different experience than this. So I will answer your questions thru my personal experience since Im on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) as well.

1)Do you have to be old to be prescribed test? Or just have low levels? Usually the rule of thumb is you need to be at least 30 years old. In some cases if you are younger but have really low test levels then a doc will put you on TRT.

2) Do they prescribe other gear besides test (winny, anavar etc.)? I was prescribed Ultra Test 250mg to start out. Its a blend of Cyp./Enanth./prop., It was not completely achieving the goals I had so they prescribed some Winstrol (winny) for me. Some docs will do this and some will not. Most Anti-aging companies in Florida are more liberal than a local in-town doctor you might already know. I live in Texas but use a Anti-aging company/doctor in Florida and its a lot cheaper and a lot easier to get the meds that I "want" to take to achieve my goals. There is a lot of Anti-aging companies out there and some are really expensive. You can send me a private message if you need a referral.

3) Do they prescribe the necessary (possibly necessary) ancillaries (ie, cabergoline, aromasin, etc.)? Most of the time yes

4) Does insurance cover it? Is the cost justifiable? For example, would it cost more or less than buying a cycle from a UGL, and all the necessary ancillaries, and then paying for bloodwork once or twice? If you go to your local doctor that accepts insurance and your insurance covers it then yes it is possible for insurance to pay for your TRT. If you go to an Anti-aging company then from my experience they do not accept insurance. If you pay out of pocket it usually cost a little more than from a UGL, but this all depends on which company you select to buy from. If you find a reasonable priced company then its worth paying a little bit more compared to a UGL since you know your getting ligit stuff from the pharmacy.

The hardest part for me was to find a doctor that would actually write a script for it. I am very familiar with anti aging clinics. In my area of Florida they are on almost every corner but at a $price$.
I am new to testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) (6-7 wks) and will be taking my first blood test Monday so I can see the results. It's my personal opinion that I need a larger dose because I feel no difference. I am hoping this is where the doc jumps in and prescribes an Aromatase inhibitor (AI). With my original blood work I had enough estrogen to grow a third tit but I do not seem to be gyno sensitive or carrying any extra "soft" weight from the effects.

I just think I need a better doctor!

No idea your age but you want to give @#$%^ a call. As for ongoing med supervision, I would advise you do that locally but get your gear through a script and with the support he will provide. He spends more time asking and then discussing how you are doing than any testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) doctor ever would and he has more experience to back it up. The best part, he focuses on YOUR goals.

Further, you can get everything you mentioned and more from him...legally, well not winny.

You might find a local doc to put you on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), but most GPs simply aren't up to date with treating low T issues and almost all are hesitant to script test in injectable form because of the stigma of AAS.

HRT clinics, on the other hand, specialize in this stuff. The docs have a much more open guideline about age and reasons they'll put someone on a Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) program. The downside is most will not accept insurance. But if you're on 100mg EW of test cyp, a 10mL vial will run you about $100 out of pocket with a legit script at a pharmacy (if listing pricing for legal testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is inappropriate, please edit -- I'm not trying to break any rules). Do the math -- you get about 20 weeks of testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) treatment for your money. It's not a bad deal.

Whether or not you qualify for Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) will depend on your age, your symptoms, and you blood test results. Get all that done and then shop around for your options.
