raw powerlifting promo...

I have the Fury but should have went F6. Before my shirt broke in I was benching high with it. I forget by now but I think it was around 6 sessions or so before it felt like it was starting to break in. Those are single ply poly shirts Ricky, I bought mine one size up to train in.

I was 3 inches from touching 515 in my first session in my new F6.

Sounds about like me, but when I meant high I meant nipple line or thereabouts. I actually probably came half way close to a couple dumps where it not for spotting help, just because I went into a weak zone until that shirt broke in and I figured out the perfect positioning etc etc :)

big ass lift lol.....well do you guys only go up to a certain amount before you wear a shirt during a comp or what?

Raw just doesn't seem to have the populaity anymore. WHe I lifted raw in the last meet I went to a couple guys said with amazment "your going raw?"

One reason is Raw is harder on your shoulders and also people want to see BIG lifts.

That's alot of support! I don't get that much out of my double denim and that mutha is Tight (notice the capital T)

denim is typically not as tight as poly. apparantly you have never worn a properly fitted poly. and if you touched 405 in your denim its to big too.

When my chest was 51.5" I was wearing a single ply poly 54" Titan, I hadn't optimized wearing it just yet but I was around there so really I'm almost amazed he got so low with it. I can only imagine what a double ply competition fit must be like, lots of practice and lots of break in.

So far i've only had on hand me downs. I haven't decided on what brand and model to buy. THe 1st day I used my double denim I couldn't touch with 455. I'm getting better at using it. No dobt it could fit me better though. THe arms couldn't be any tighter though. It taked two guy to put the damn thing on me.

I don't swim in the shirt. It is tight across the chest hence the zombie look when it's on and the arms have become extremely tight to the point of barely fitting.

My chest is 48 1/2"

My arms cold unflexed are 18"
Warmed up flexed they are 19 1/4"

Out of curiosity did you weigh-in at your competition? I weigh a lot less (naked, AM before any food/liquids). I'm 247 in the AM, 19 1/8" cold flexed 51.5", and definitely not ripped. :D 6'2"

I had to weigh in. It was an APF sanctioned meet. I weighed in the night before at 242 on the dot around 7pm. I sucked weight to make that meet though.

chest plate size in denim is where a lot of the power comes from.

Thanks PB.

Is there a way I can take measurments from the shirt I have to see if they are correct for me?

apprx every inch of chest plate you remove means it takes about another 75-100lbs to touch.

if you touched 405 then you can stand to have a smaller chest plate. and with denim you dont want the sleeves extremely tight. snug but not tight.

from what tou say the shirt is not properly fitted to you.

Well if I buy one what would you rec? I think i'd like something with a higher groove. I see all the record holding lifters wear either karens or inzer.

I can in the mean time look through the bag of shirts john has at his gym. THere must be about 50 in there.

you can bench with a higher groove in a denim no prob. wherever your power is at is where you wanna bench.

alot of guys wear metal shirts too. any of them gonna give you added #s on your bench with some practice.

Metal shirts are pretty expensive. I found with the denim that I can't touch with a high groove. I need to drop the bar lower and roll my shoulder girdle to touch.

Do you like pheenom's? I've been training with a guy named John Galagan. You may have heard of him e is fairly well known. He said he likes the pheenom but ripped his last one open pretty bad. He also does about 800 AAPF at SHW. LOL. That could be part of the reson for the rip.
