Haha sorry old man I guess I skipped over that part.
So do you think you should have tried this restart cycles before you tried TRT?
Thanks again!
At this point, yes, that is my conclusion.
I was going to wait to elaborate on this very point but since you asked it is worth answering.
Based on what I am seeing and feeling at this point, I feel as though I "jumped the gun" so to speak in going the Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) route.
Clearly, I should have tried this protocol as a restart first.
That said, let me explain why I jumped to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) so quickly as opposed to going through this protocol for a restart.
About 20 years ago, I was a competitive national level body builder. I was pretty successful and consistently placed in the top 3 in my weight class in the national shows I did.
In achieving that success, I did my share of steroid cycles. To be honest, I really loved the feeling of being on cycle and seeing and watching my body grow. It was an amazing feeling.
After my third national show, at 23 years old, I reached a crossroad. I had graduated from my master's program and I was heading toward my PhD. I knew that competing and a PhD program were two diametrically opposed activities. My life was going to be in academics and not in competing in show.
At that time, I gave up competing and doing steroids. However, I never quit training or dieting. It was the structure that allowed me to organize and succeed so I kept it in place.
Fast forward 15 years and my naturally high hormone levels are dropping and I am looking for a solution.
The thought having the feeling of being "on cycle" again was very appealing to me. Of course, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is not a cycle but it was as close as I was going to get to that "old feeling" again and I ran with the it.
Wrong choice? I don't know but certainly, it was not as well though out a choice as I typically make.
So there is the long answer to the short question.
