RJ, what are your goals for this cycle? your diet kind of looks like youre cutting, but maybe just looking for lean gains?

All i do know is just look for lean gains. No more bulking/cutting per se. But i do adjust cals up and down during summer and winter. But my days of gaining 30lbs of junk just to get 5lbs of LBM are wayyyyy over.

As for cycling. I have been on this cycle since September, started the GH in February. July 1st I am coming off until next year. we are gonna start trying to have a kid next year, so i will be off (except for GH/IGF) until we get pregnant.

After that, i will continue with the GH, doing (1) 4 month cycle at the beginning (prolly march-june) of each year, then take the other 8 months off.
 
Day 12 - 5/5/2006 - Day off

Day 13 - 5/6/2006

Arm day today, so did some light arms. Pumps the last few WOs have been nuts. Almost as bad the IGF pumps I get on those cycles. Actually stepped on the scale today as they got it fixed and was right at 239lbs. So same weight, although I am much leaner, and feel soooo much stronger, so something good must be going on.

Diet was all good. Missed on meal at the end of the night, but meal b4 that was a big one (went out for Steaks. yummmmy)

Day 14 - 5/7/2006

Day off. Raining here, so nothing but sleeping, eating and horizontal cardio!!
 
Day 15 - 5/8/2006

What a day. Again, i guess i just need to be prepared to go a little hypo after the first shot in the AM on the SLin days. Time to buy some more Vault (I love that shit). Hate it though cause the sugar kills my stomach.

Anyway, here we go:

Diet:

Still hungry as fuck all day, but ate a little too close to my WO tonight. After squats, i felt a little woozy, but i pushed thru. It was a bear though after all that. I have been averaging about 650g of carbs on these Slin days, so its been fun. I will say though that I am sitting right at 240lbs, so even though I am leaning up each day it seems (thank you GH), and I look fuller and feel harder than ever, my weight hasn't budged, so maybe that is a positive sign of LBM gain.

455 x 8 (the last one of these had me bad. I fell down after that set... WOW!!)
Leg Extensions
225 x 12 x 2
Standing One Leg Curls
100 x 15 x 3

After those squats I was fried. I am usually able to knock out some more work after squatting (although I wouldn't normally do much more), but i think i have found a good middle ground that just kicks the shit outta me. Hopefully my legs will be OK by Wednesday... the wife's wife is coming into town so I gotta be flexible. lol

Overall I am loving the way this Slin protocol is setup. No water gain like normal, energy levels are great when before they would be down for a good part f the day, and I loko and feel better than ever. Slin before this has always just been a pump and sopme strength. But this is the real deal. Thanks Fred for the idea. rep to you brother.

Those are some crazy squat #'s RJ, looks like the new protocol is working nicely. I see some Slin use somewhere in my future and i'll definately refer back to this log. Nice work!!

thanks JT. I think i am staying at this weight for a while. lol

Funny thing was, Madine was right behind me on my last set. She usually spots me, but has been a bit sick and was kind of out of it. I barely made it up with that last rep and fell on my face when I came out from under the weight. She just stood there and stared in the distance. Of course i laughed when we got home, but at the time I was thinking... WTF? Did she not see me dying over there?

Day 16 - 5/9/2006

OK, so after today's workout i have concluded that after this four weeks, at least for me, i WILL need a break. The increases in strength alone have taxed my body something fierce... and I just felt it today. Granted, this is nothing that will prevent me from doing it again. I love it. Pumps are insane, fullness is better than ever, harder, still lean if not leaner, and feel great overall. Of course the strength gains are wonderful. Keeping them after this is over will be the main key, as some of the strength gains from Slin in the past have gone away. We'll see.

Diet:

All meals in. this is becoming easy... even if the hours get thrown off. Next week will be a trip as Madine's show will be over and she will have a week off. So I may take it off with her and just eat like a pig. Hell, she has a case of Girl Scout cookies waiting for her in the downstairs fridge. lol

PWO shake, went home, showered, eat again within an hour, and I am exhausted. I hope I am not getting the remnants of Madine's cold. I will be pissed as this experiment is almost over. Vit C and Echinacea should do the trick. :D

Tomorrow starts the last day of the wife's depletion, her wife flies into town, I am on vacation until Wednesday, so I may be OFFLINE until next week. :D
 
great workout RJ. So how much longer is left in the experiment? You taking a full week off to let your body heal from the great strength gains?
