Owens breaks collarbone
Wide receiver Terrell Owens broke his left collarbone against Philadelphia on Dec. 21. Owens was injured after catching a 20-yard pass and getting tackled by safety Brian Dawkins. He immediately went to the locker room, where X-rays revealed the injury. Owens returned to the Niners' sideline in the second half smiling and talking on a cell phone. Coming into the game, Owens had 79 receptions for 1,082 yards and nine touchdowns. He was selected to this year's Pro Bowl team -- along with fullback Fred Beasley and outside linebacker Julian Peterson.
