Schredder's cycle log............

Rack pulls are one of my favorite exercises. I actually don't even do deadlift at all, ever, I find them to be very awkward and they hurt my shoulders for some reason so I stick to rack pulls. Plus when its back day I want to work my back not my legs and back and thrash my lower back.

This isn't just for lower back its for the whole back.

This is very cool, I've never even heard of rack pulls! Might have to give those a try and save my legs for leg day :D

Nice log man, you look incredible btw. Smaller than I'd want to be... but... Just kiddin :D Keep up the great work, you have a physique I am quite envious of!

I do them in a squat rack and I set the safety bars up so that the BB when sitting on the bars is just a little bit below my knees. My knees are bent but only a very little bit. I start the lift and about half way through ill straighten my legs out to about just before they lock out, pinch shoulder blades and traps together at the top of the movement, push my pelvis out a little bit and try to pull the bar apart. Keep the bar as close to your body as possible throughout the whole entire movement, when I do them the bar is always touching my body I never let it get away from me, run it up your knees and quads.

This isn't just for lower back its for the whole back.

43... and always learning ;)

Day off today, just getting those meals in to grow. 2 down 3 to go. Eat is becoming easier and easier every day, Im mixing things up making sure my food has lots of flavor so it tastes awesome and the EQ has my appetite on overdrive. Its about 2 hours after I eat my stomach starts to growl at me.

Tomorrow I will start adding in more drop sets, supersets and and some band work in the near future as well here and there. Up until now, with the odd exception Ive been doing straight sets, so thing are going to be switched up a bit from the time being.

Back and Bis today. Gonna be training late with my GF once she gets off work, so I should have a good 4 meals in me and a lot of liquids, mainly water, but for some reason Ive been on the diet pepsi lately. Fuck that stuff is tasty lol. Anyways, Ill most likely be posting this workout up in the morning so keep an eye out.

So my plan got switched up a bit today and I trained Chest, hit some side laterals and triceps again, just finished up and now eating some PWO goodies.
It went down like this....

Iso lateral HS vertical flat press warmup + 3x8 100lbs drop set on last set
Cable flys 3x12 50lbs
Incline DB press 50x12 60x12 70x12 drop set on last set
Decline flys (not your normal type of a flys, but much to hard to explain in words) 3x12 20lbs drop set on last set

Standing DB side laterals 3x12 25lbs

Dip machine 3x12 195lbs drop set on last set
Rope pushdown super setted with overhead rope extensions 3 sets 10 reps 50 lbs
reverse grip cambered bar pushdowns 3x12 100lbs (each set was perform at a different distance from cable pulley)
incline skull crushers 3x12 55lbs

standing calve raises 3x12 195 drop set on last set
different version of a seated calve raise machine 3x12 90lbs drop set on last set

So, lots of stuff going on here today might have a few extra carbs PWO today, I kept up a good pace today sipped on my BCAAs as always lots of energy today.

I am noticing my mind muscle connection is getting very good to the point I can contract so hard I almost cause the muscle to cramp, fuck yeah!! I have been trying a new thing out the last couple of months and its helped with mind muscle connection as well as shape of the muscle, maybe you guys want to try it too, when ever Im resting between sets I flex and contract the muscle I am work as hard as I can throughtout the whole rest period which may be 30 seconds or it may be a minute, try this and tell me you don't get a pump going.

and, it look like back and bis in the forecast for tomorrow evening, gonna be most machine this go around but intensity is gonna be there........as it always is.

Do you find that diet pop (or gum, even) bloat you up, make you gassy etc?

Well I am consuming so much food I don't know what is causing my gas and bloating, I suspect the increased consumption of veggies.

To be honest though I find that diet pop of any typ of mint flavored gum actually calm my stomach down if Im having any sort of issue, weird? I don't know.

Do you have an issue with gum and diet pop?

I do yeah. But on a cut especially I drink/chew them anyways...I'm gassy from protein to begin with (prep macros were 475p/275c/100f with the carbs slowlyk dropping week to week)

Oh ya that amount of protein is sure to cause some bloating a lethal gas as well, lol. I burp and whatnot if I drink pop obviously due to the carbonation, but I don't get bloated. And Ive heard of people getting gassy and bloated from chewing gum. I would say it has to do with the amount of air you swallow while chewing.

Im kind of curious as to what the deal is with diet pop to be honest. Ive stopped drinking regular pop and switched to diet obviously due to the fact that regular pop has way to much sugar in it and I actually prefer the taste of diet pepsi anyways. But Ive done a bit of research on aspartame and I don't like what I read. I wonder if just consuming the sugar would be healthier? I don't know. I mean neither are good, I just love the taste and the bubbles.

Give perrier (or the superstore brand, preferably) a try...it's pretty refreshing/satisfying, has like 10cal / 500ml or something around there and doesn't have artificial sweeteners

Aspartame can kill you brah :)

Almost all the bad stuff you'll read about aspartame is in correlation NOT causation articles/studies - this is the science community's version of broscience, dont believe any of it dude.

Its bad for your teeth if your the type of guy that enjoys keeping dieta soda in your mouth for a sustained period of time, but thats it as far as negative health sides go.

Ive also wondered that as well, I am of the philosophy believe half of what you see and none of what you hear, so I take anything I read with a grain of salt.

Good to know Zilla, thank for your input as always!

whether it's bad for me or not, sweetner has been a good addition in my transition over the past 9 months. I use MIO water flavour like it's going out of style, it's the only way I can get in 6-8 liters a day.

I also put a pack of sweetner in my coffee or tea in the morning and sometimes pre-workout

I actually like the taste of water believe it or not, lol. I have 4L of water with nothing in it at all, and a couple diet pops and coffee as well.

I remember the very first time I used an artificial sweetener instead of sugar, it was at a Starbucks and I used the same amount of Splenda as I normally would sugar only because there was no sugar and holy fack, I couldn't even drink it, lol. I threw it in garbage and bought another one!

I remember being the same way, but now after not having sugar in my coffee and the odd diet coke instead of real coke I really don't notice how sweet it is... being on a fairly strict diet as far as carb intake having sweetner feels like cheating and we all need some of that ;)

Oh for sure bro, man I would surely go insane on such a restricted diet, I have a sweet tooth that I cant get to go away, lol.
