Thanks for sharing. And to think I thought 1x/day of Doxycycline was much. But I have to say it cleared everything for me. I might have to take it again.

Frustrated
I had asked my Derm about only taking 100mg of Doxy and he stated that there was no medical literature showing that as an effective dose...he said 100mg/Twice Daily was the only effective dose recorded for acne.

As far as reflux, I drink like a 20oz bottle of water with my doxy and that stopped the reflux.....and ur right the reflux can be horrible!

Dang, I missed this. I swear by 100mg 1x/day. My derm, wrote my script for 2x/day, then 1x/day. I don't really know what the std. amount is, but this is the real deal. I never took it at 2x/day. For me 1x/day stopped acne completely. In fact there was a little (less than 1/16") bump on my face that has been there for years, I was going to have them cut it out. I woke up after a few days and it's completely gone. I just can't take much on my stomach, I used to have to take prevacid, etc. But I could take this for a week or so. I bet that a half would even work, at least for me.

I recently went back to the derm, and they wrote another script, I forget what it is, but it isn''t working nearly as well. I mean it's working, but just taking it's sweet time. I've been upping my water intake. It is helping a little, so I'll do it more. Water's good for you anyways, and I've never had enough. Thanks for the tip.

I've been on bactrim and topical antibiotic for bout 3 weeks wit no improvement at all yet.. really annoying.. dermo says accutane may be only way to go if
orals and topicals don't help after a few more weeks.. little worried bout all the accutane horror stories but don't wanna have to keep being embarrassed of my body cause all the acne

That's what my new script is for. It's no where near as good as doxy. There is a relative of doxy, that has one very rare side effect. joint ache. I told the derm, no thanks, not right now until I lock my protocol in. The only way that I know if I've crashed my E is wrist joint pain. At least she understands. But so far I'm not too impressed by bactrim either.

it has been 10 days on benzaclin and I'm almost completely clear. I have my girl rub on the spots on my back in the morning and at night ED. I'm not sure how a single guy is going to get this done, could be an issue. Anyway thanks Cashman. I love this site.

I have a friend who is a pharm (i'm lucky) so she hooked it up, but if you see a derm and ask for it they should write you a script no problem.

Well I haven't had any acne issues until the last 10 days and I am curious if it has anything to do with changing my injection site from my delts, to my glutes. I read on a thread here somewhere you actually have better absorbsion through the glutes, then the delts, then the quads ? Anyhow, all I know is I am starting to get some pretty bad acne on the left side of my face, and my forehead. I have tried a cream my wife bought from a pharmacy and it"s ok, but it's not stopping the new acne from popping up

Hey guys I have a problem with some serious acne on my back. My E levels are 34, I take 200 mg e5d and Dex 1mg day after with 250 i.u hcg. I've tried all kinds of different soaps and acne wash. Nothing seems to work. I read somewhere about the androgens or something but I can't find that post....any thoughts, it's getting out of control??

lowering your dosage would help. IMO 200mg is kinda high for a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) dose esp E5D. that works out to 280mg a week.

i started at 100mg E5D but im going down to 75mg E5D cause of acne issues. works out to 105mg a week.

Misc- Please keep us posted...I too have acne issues and wonder if I go down in Test Dosage if that will help.
Stress is one of my big contributors to break outs too......
I often wonder if I can decrease Cortisol levels if that will help my acne issues as well......

I've been on antibiotics and benzaclin for a few months with no improvement.. dermo wants to start accutane.. guess I will have to try cause I won't take off my shirt anywhere cause backne is so bad, and summer and beach is just around the corner

well i can tell you this. my acne issue are no where near as bad as what im hearing from people here. sounds like bacne issues i had when i did a cycle.

i take minocyclin andi have benze foam. i also use need 2 clear and ancetame. i can tell you the acnetame and n2clear isnt any where near the hype. but as long i take all those i dont get that much acne. just some here and there but not that bad.

the thing is i dont want to take all that shit all the time. i stopped taking everything and the acne started to come back. so i got back on all of it and im lowering the dose and then gonna back off the acne meds and see if it comes back


oh and i think the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) def plays a big factor in the acne. i want to stop taking it but the wife wont let me.

I need to also consider lowering the dose down to maybe 150mg E5D and see what happens. Its a balancing act because I feel and do so much better everywhere else on the 200mg.

I have what I consider slight to moderate bacne, Ironically, it didn't show up until I reduced my dosage of test cyp from 125 down to 75 E3D.

Lowering will reduce some or most of the acne. When I was doing 500mg/wk of test, acne on my back and shoulders was pretty bad. Doing the recommended doc's 100mg/wk I don't get any outbreaks at all.
