What the fuck exactly is going on. I started to do preacher curls a few weeks ago and last night when I tried to do them the pain in my forearm was unfricken bearable. Hurt like hell. What can I do to aleviate the pain and is there some kind of stretching or excercise to help with this problem. Or am I never going to be able to do preachers.

i get that pain also when doing barbell curls. or atleast i think i have the same problem as you. My pain is a shooting pain i have in my forearm, and it feels like my forearm is going to explode when i release the bar. i usually have to release the bar slowly because that helps the pain a little bit. i would say take some time off from doing preachers or straight bar curls (a week or two), when doing cable curls i dont feel the pain. then go back to preachers after a week or two and see how it feels

I used to have the same thing.........I just fought through it and released the bar as slowly as possible, like Maxx said.

Only other thing I'd know to tell you would be to wrap it to apply pressure to the area during lifting, and take NSAIDs to help with the inflammation.

it is called forarm splints kind of like shin splints, only thing you can do for them is stay away from straight bar curls, use the cury bars because does not put the pressure on themn as bad i found that if i set the bar down and releash it slowly then the pain is hardly there
