So i took my first pin in my right quad last Thursday. 25g 1in 250mg test E. no pain what so ever going in with no blood. perfect injection i would think. Well it really started to swell by Saturday. Come Sunday and Monday I can barley walk it was really painful. Today the pain has subsided but the swelling is still there. i took a shot in the right glute Sunday and its kinda doing the same thing. Starting off with mild pain and now is starting to swell like crazy. I had to call outta work toady because of this. There's no sign of an infection or abscess. Just swollen like crazy. these are virgin muscles. I would like to continue my first cycle but I cant keep missing work. Any ideas why this is happening and if there's anything I can do about it?

Well..if it s not infected..heating pads help..soak in tub..you sure you pinning straight in and not getting gear between muscle and skin/fat ?

Goood gear ???

Thats one theory I had with pinning wrong. It is the first time doing it but Ive researched and looked at a million pics before sticking myself. What happens if you miss the muscle? I was also thinking i could be allergic to the pinning itself. I am slightly allergic to bee stings and the same symptoms show up. I know there's venom involved but the The area swells up for 4 or 5 days like crazy before going back down. I'm pretty positive the gear is good. very reputable online source.

If I am not mistaken... the test only resembles that of a "bee sting" so the body releases histamine for the possible infection of a poisonous substance. Trying taking an OTC Anti-Histamine an hour or so before you inject. I have no experience with this, just providing information I have gathered by doing a few searches!

huh,
That might not be a bad idea. Now i just gotta figure out if the anti histamine will interact with the test or the armidex I have on hand in case of gyno symptoms.

Well I think you should be taking Arimidex anyways, however... I researched Anti-Histamines a little bit and found that AH's can actually lower Test, as the body responds to low histamine levels by using test serum to raise histamine levels. Some Anti-Histamines work as a xenoestrogens, though I don't think we would be taking a high enough dose to have any effect in terms of gyno.

So the end conclusion is anti-histamines may lower total test serum, which is going to be low post cycle anyways... so it's just up to you I suppose.

Sounds like it's the gear not your pinning technique. Too much benzyl benzoate will cause the pain and inflammation ur talking about.

I had the same kind of problems when I started pinning, but it went away with time. I do stll get it if I pin a new muscle though.

I tried my tri a few months back and my arm swelled up so bad my elbow looked like it disappeared! Same gear I had been using for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for almost a year so I know it wasn't the gear and considering how long I had been pinning I'm pretty sure it was not technique either. I think some people just have really sensitive virgin muscles.

I had good luck with ibuprofen, benadryl (not going to lower yor test enough to notice) and icing. I was using heat, but found icing was more effective and brought the swelling down faster.

I also found it helps a lot to warm the test before drawing and pinning.

Good luck!

It will not ..that s the first time i ve heard of the pin bee sting theory.

Me as well, but then again no "new" theory surprises me any longer.

After pinning always rub the area for a 2 minutes or so. Make sure you help dissipate the oil.

You may have had a reaction to the BA--which is not uncommon, more so in higher test like 250 or higher.

If I have a reaction to a particular kind of test, I some times mix it in with a little deca or npp as well. (in the same shot)
