I know I need shoes with flat soles for deadlifting and squatting like chucks but I have seen some vids of people wearig what looks like slippers and am curious about something. I have tried deadlifting and squatting and I can lift more if I wear my running shoes as opposed to when I go barefoot the weight just feels freaking heavy as shit(It may be a mental thing and something I just might need to get used to)- does this happen to anyone else?
Do those slipper things provide the same support as a pair of chucks or wrestling or shoes?
I basically just need a pair of shoes with a flat sole with no air in them - correct?
