I've been experiencing water bloat since I started trt nearly 5 weeks ago. About a week and a half ago had anastrozole prescribed. Been taking 0.5mg - 0.75mg a week (broken into 0.25mg doses). Was still experiencing bloat, so tried 0.5mg in one dose - didn't go down well - had an allergic reaction (hives) and think I lowered my E2 too much (had cracking joints).
Just wondering if there were other things that could cause bloating and shortness of breath that weren't due to high E2. I've heard hematocrit can cause shortness of breath, but could it really be elevated 5 weeks into trt? Should I go ahead and just donate blood now? If it's relevant, I've always had a low platelet count - any relation?
Is there anything else I should have tested? I've heard high prolactin or progesterone could cause similar symptoms. I'm due for my next lot of blood work in a couple of weeks, but only have a test for TT, SHBG, E2. Should I ask the doc for prolactin and progesterone tests?
