Shoulder pain during chest workouts. Any way to fix this?

SilverBackGorilla

I like bananas
This is an old injury that I really can't pinpoint when it happened or where but I recall having pain back in the day when I used to workout. Now that I'm back to lifting relatively heavy, the pain has returned. My shoulder feels strong, it just aches when I'm lifting, especially bench pressing. Is there any drug out there that can help repair whatever is wrong or should I get an MRI to make sure of the problem before I try to medicate it? Day to day life, I have no pain, only while lifting and maybe the rest of the day but the next day It's mostly gone. Thanks guys!

Whenever I have Joint, tendon, muscle pains. I go to a Chiropractor. So I would do that. I haven't seen a real MD in 15 years till recently for bloodwork

I know exactly what your going through. Have the same issues myself.
When mine gets too painful, I usually take a week off.

I'm curious to see if some of the vets recommend TB 500. Never used it myself, but heard good things about it.

Sorry bro, I'm no help but I do feel your pain.

stretch every day and not just before a workout, even off days
do rotor cuff work 1 to 3 times a week
When your benching make sure your tucking your shoulders back to prevent pain.
Also spend about 10 min warming those shoulders up before your workout.

I am planning on seeing a chiropractor real soon, they are also message therapists in the same building, I should treat myself. I do try and warm up my shoulders but admittedly, very little. I will try your suggestions and report back. Thank you all very much.

Several warm up sets starting very light. Keep elbows tucked in. I also find that I need to take a closer grip than I once did and that it takes some strain off the shoulders.

Tb 500 actually works. I ran mine 2.5mg twice a week for 6 weeks to get rid of my shoulder pain. My recovery was through the roof, I hardly ever got sore.

Try a slight decline bench or don't be afraid to use the machines. With them you can adjust your seat hight and angles easy. They are my friends when I am having joint issues.

I tweak my shoulder from time to time when I go heavy on dumbell press flat or incline. For the next two weeks I do chest on hammer stregth excerpt for dumbell flys. It seems to cure mine till I get stupid and go heavy again thinkin I won't aggravate it again. Let us know what works for u. Cause I think a lot of us feel your pain !good luk !
