sticking with slin pins 2x's a week now, and wondered since the needles are so dang skinny do u need to asperate with them at all?

I always asperate. But I'm finding it very difficult to do with B12 at 1cc on a 1cc syringe. I can barely call what I did asperating. Plus it's bright red. WTF, I'm not even sure I could tell if I did hit a vein. This is in the delt. Looking for advise on this. How the hell do you do it?

I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) for almost 2 years now and have never asperated.

Never!... and Never had any problems.

Just curious, where are your injection sites? I can see skipping the glutes or delts. Not a lot to hit in there.

Always asperate when injecting. I was always taught to aspirate because if you hit a blood vessel and inject, you would be giving the medication the wrong route. Maybe thats just old school though.

Hey Paul, how do I self asperate with 1cc in a 1cc syringe in the delt?

There is no clinical evidence that supports the need to aspirate an IM injection.

My father and brother were/are both pediatricians and in their combined 60 years of practice never aspirated a single IM shot.

Review the evidence in the report...

Wow thanks cashout!!! I have waisted at least 2 slin pins per week including 1 today!! Stuck my left shoulder aspirated, blood back in syringe! Had to waste all that test! Makes me mad!!

Hopefully it will be okay if I just punch and go! Hate to waste my money!!

Thanks cashout! So no need to aspirate when pinning in the correct areas then, I guess i never had a nurse aspirate either, come to think of it, even my last nurse who pinned my test would never aspirate! And only had slight bruising from time to time!!

So slim pin in shoulders, as long as done correctly does not really need aspiration !

Will save me money as I now don't have to throw away good test***55357;***56397;

Thanks cashout, your an excellent source as always. I just couldn't figure out how in the world to do it when the plunger is all the way out. It was a bitch.

j2048b, don't waste it anyways, just hit a new spot. It's your blood for Pete sakes.

Cashout. I think you need to write a book. I not trying to kiss A$$, but most of the general information out there is outdated about all of the subject matter on these forums. Just sayin......
