So nervous about Test making my anxiety even worse

I have a really low Test level at 229. I am almost 39 years old. I suffer from lack of concentration, irritable, feel low, tired, low sex drive and poor erections but most of all I suffer very badly with anxiety. I really want to start testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) but am worried Test will make me worse as I used Dianabol over 10 years ago for bodybuilding and that made me really anxious so Test might do the same? Although I have read people saying Test has helped anxiety?

I personally never heard of Test making you anxiuous but dosen't mean it wont but with that said it helped me big time as I had the same symptoms you had and I am a diffrent person today because I went on TRT..You will never know if you dont give it a shot, get all your bloods done etc and make the move to your new life, you deserve it ..

IMT on here can help you with any questions you might have and as they did for me...........

Id say give it a go dude. Ive been on Paxil for anxiety, depression, and fatigue since 2003. I feel a lot better now. The only thing i can say is make sure you monitor your estrogen and make sure it doesnt get to high or too low. I accidently crashed my E2, and my anxiety, panic, and fatigue went through the roof. I got the estrogen under control, and now Im back to feeling alot better than pre-trt. My score was very low too, it was 219. My test score is now 1050.

also, ive been taking paxil 10mgs for over 10 years now. Ive been able to start weening off of it, if that helps at all!

Raising your test levels seems to reduce anxiety for most guys. To the point where many can stop taking medication. Give it a try. Just remember it takes 2-6 weeks before you typically starting feeling the effects if you do injections.

Test has made me a changed man. My gf actually likes being around me now. Lol. Anxiety was really kicking my ass last year around the holidays. Start testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and see for yourself.

My personal experience is I get a feeling of well being. I have seen people who have a tendency for emotional issues have them amplified. The guy with a short temper may have issues become more intense. Everyone is different low testosterone could be at the root of your anxiety. Listen to you body. Understand it will take 3-6 weeks for you to really understand how you body is adjusting. Often tweaks are needed.

I hear exactly what youre saying, anxiety and self confidence are the biggest thing that have gotten a wack from my low T. As my T increases it seems my anxiety is slowly regressing. The problem is that I had 2 Dr's that didn't kow what they were doing and made what should have been a 3 to 6 week process a 7 month process. So now my anxiety really has a foot hold.
So that being said, find a really good Dr, insist you have your estrogen levels checked. If he won't do that, find another Dr. Period. My estrogen levels were high, and the first 2 Dr's wouldnt check it, and that has almost worse than the low T. It may be that what you experienced before was actually elivated Estrogen levels.

Also, Check your Vitamin D, calcium, and Vitamin C levels. Mine tanked at the same time. As they go up, it seems to be helping also.

Good Luck

Exactly what it is with me bud......anxiety and self confidence. Anxiety is so high I feel dizzy when in shops, I don't like driving very far from my home and my self confidence is almost gone. Trouble is I have Test here but am to scared to use it just in case it makes my anxiety even worse! I do have some Test Prop' though, so could use that as if I don't like it then it is out of my system in a couple of days.

Yah, it sucks big time, and the worst part is most people don't understand what it is doing inside to you. I think I am beginning to move through it though. I still have more bad days than good, but the bad days now are much better than the good days 6 months ago.
You didn't mention it, but I know for one that I have not been sleeping well at night. And haven't for a long time. I think that really exasterbates the anxiety and emotions. I think thats where discovering my Vitamin D levels were low... (and although I haven't had it tested yet, I bet my calcium levels are low too) helped. Calcium (along with other vitamins) help with sleep. So check that. My nights sleeps seem to be getting better a little at a time. even reloading Vitamin D into your system still takes several weeks if they are low.
The thing I am really looking for right now it an improvement in motivation. Test seems to really affect that "fight or flight" feeling. Right now "flight" seems so much easier. But as my t comes up, I hope to see that "fight" feeling come back. I think that is where the self confidence is.
What ever you do, try to stick with it. I've been taking test cyp for several weeks now. Dr started me on 100mg every 10 days, that kinda made me feel anxious. My best guess was at that dose my estrogen level jumped, and on top of that my body didn't know what to do with the introduction of the test. So I went back to 50mg two times a week. That helped, plus the addition of anastrozole for estrogen. I think I'm on the right track, but not there yet. I just took 80mg with no adverse affects. But I'm still finding days 3-5 kinda sketchy.
I also think people forget how hard it is on the family too. Try to hang in there. I would say that from all the reading I have done, chances are the test is not gonna make your anxitey worse.

Good luck, and keep posting questions.
