Squatting parallel and/or below?

Do most of u recommend squatting strickly below parallel?? Or, do u mix it up and do some parallel and some below parallel?? I started squatting pretty much ass to ankles and had to drop a shit load of weight and am wondering if I got as much out of my workout cuz I'm not lifting nearly as much anymore? Its only been a day after my workout, but I'm not all that sore either, maybe I will be tomorrow though. What do u suggest??
 
Good question. I go almost parallel and parallel on most sets and my legs are sore for at least 3 days after.

go all the way down next time if ytou really want t spank them. and if you really got nuggets use a big pause while at the bottom then press. :D

check your ego at the door too.
 
Below parallel is the ONLY way I'd go . . . .

Having done parallel for some years until someone who knew what they were doing told me to knock that shit off and go deep has increased ALL my lifts leaps and bounds. It will drop your squat weight dramatically at first but keep usting ass and you being seeing some serious growth and improvement.

Only guys I see go parallel are those guys with a real small stance and I think they are focusing more on building their quads
 
I'm trying to build quads as well. Kept a shoulder width stance and have been squatting well below parallel the past few wks(just wondered if i should stick strickly to that or mix it up, but sounds like the overall consensis is to mix it up). Don't worry PB, doesn't matter what kinda squatts I do, when I do squatts my egos at the door. :P

you can do some boxs from parallel if you wanna work the top end a bit more.
 
ass to grass is the way to go,

my legs are always fried.

At my college gym, these idiots look at me like i have 3 heads cause i squat so damn deep. Forget them, this is why i comeplete my numbers week in and week out and they still push the same weights every week.

If its one thing i have learned, its squat deep to the ground and the rest of your body will grow :-)
 
whenever i go below parallel, i feel as though my glutes are working harder than my quads.... not as though thats a horrible thing

just a thought

full range of motion builds the most muscle

Because they use Most of the Muscles in your body. I don't know why it akes your cock huge, though sicne the penis is not a Muscle.
 
Also, doesn't your body produce more testosterone when u squatt or dl vs doing something like bicep curls?
I tried using a 10'' box i built for box squatts. That should be plenty deep shouldn't it?? Do u guys go even lower?? Last wk when I did deep(or what I thought was deep) squatts, my legs were shaky when I was done, but the next 2 days they weren't even very sore!! WTF?? Then I pulled a sled for about 10min and it kicked my ass. Sore everything(quads, glutes, hams) But must mean thats working at least. :) Dls always make me sore as hell for about a wk too.
