Strange increase in plunger resistance: INJ

Went to inj today in the quad, all things normal. When I went to push the plunger there was a very strong resistance while inj.
Any ideas what this could've been?

You may have injected in scar tissue, i get it now and then in the glutes if I inject in certain spots.

No muscle is fine, pre and post inj.

Kaz: that crossed my mind, as I was hitting my quads often lately due to shortage of 1.5" pins ... But nothing crazy.

As the others said, more than likely scar tissue. Only other thing I could think of is that your gear is extremely thick..

Not the gear, probably the easiest I've ever pushed. Other inj have been fine. P
Gonna go with scar tissue and drop my quad inj lower.

It can also be a faulty syringe. If the rubber part of the plunger has too much drag on the walls of the barrel, it'll have some pretty good resistance when loaded with oil. I tend to pull in some air and let it out before drawing just to see. You can still use them, they just tend to make thumbs a bit sore.

What halfwit said happens often to me. Just like the plunger hits sticky points and does not push smooth. I try to change the angle I am pushing from so it does not just release and blast a bunch all a sudden.

Well I drawl out with a 20g; then drawl in some air, and switch to a 25g. So pushing that 1/4cc of air then a few drops of oil was no problem... I know such a waste .
Also aspiration was no problem and I actually did it twice just to move around the plunger.

Very well could have been scar tissue then. Did you notice it harder to press all the way to the luer this time? It'll feel like trying to push through stale cheese or cork. If you're seeing that happen often, you probably should start swapping injection sites more often.

Actual breaking of skin was easy but I dart.
Other news I had to pin four times today first three all were in a vein. Days ruined haha

scare tissue. i get this in one of my quads every now and then when i hit a sweet spot i found that i abused a bit too many times in a row.
